NEW YORK CITY — A dad, hand-in-hand with his 6-year-old daughter, was gunned down as he crossed a street in the Bronx on Sunday.29-year-old Anthony Robinson or Brooklyn was crossing East 170th St. at Sheridan Ave. with his daughter when he paused to let a car pass. NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio — Police in North College Hill, Ohio arrested an alleged cookie thief.Noel Hines, 31, is accused is stealing more than ,600 worth of Girl Scout Cookies. That's 400 boxes of Thin Mints, Tagalongs or Trefoils based on the 2018 price of per box.According to information from North College Hill police on Facebook, Hines took a large order of cookies to sell for a local troop on March 30. When it came time to turn in funds from cookie sales, the Girls Scouts of Western Ohio never received funds from Hines, according to court documents.The Girl Scouts organization and police officers attempted to contact Hines for six months regarding the payment. Police arrested her on Tuesday and charged her with theft. Hines is expected to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Wednesday."That's the way the cookie crumbles," police posted on Facebook. 874

Noblesville Schools announced today that Mark Booth will no longer serve as the district's director of special education, following Booth's recent sharing online of a "meme" offensive to special education.The district denounced the post and formally disciplined Booth prior to communicating that he will not return to the special education director role. Booth will shift from the leadership role to one focused on analytical compliance for the district.Booth has been Noblesville's special education director since 2004, championing several innovative and award-winning special education practices including placement of special education students in general education classrooms, strategies to better meet state academic standards, a successful work-study program and leadership in unified athletics.The district will begin the recruiting process for Booth's replacement immediately and a new director will be announced at a later date.
