Once near the Camp Pendleton area police attempted two pit maneuvers. Shortly after the suspect drove off the freeway and into the brush, where he ultimately turned off the car and exited his vehicle. Police were able to take him into custody around 11:20 p.m. and began to search the vehicle. *This is a developing story. 10News will continue to update as more details unfold.  730

(KGTV) - Several immigrants' rights groups allege harassment and one man says he was strip-searched by Customs and Border Protection agents.The Southern Poverty Law Center, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and the American Immigration Council filed a motion requesting more information from the U.S. government regarding the detention of the Director of Al Otro Lado, calling their acts retaliation for helping asylum seekers.Hugo Castro, Director of Border Angels, Tijuana, spoke with 10News about his experience last December."I was sent to secondary for no reason," Castro said. He was in Mexicali for a doctor's appointment when he was detained by a CBP officer."The officer searched me, said I didn't have a weapon and was trying to grab me and I said hey, you don't need to grab me, just tell me what to do," He said the next 5 hours were unnerving. "They took my cellphone... after that they searched me, body search, and took off my shoes and look all around my, through my pants and underwear," he said looking at the ground.Castro said he was interrogated about migrants and the immigration rights' group Al Otro Lado."You know, if I was part of the caravan the organizers. If we were paying migrants, if we were helping migrants to cross the border."Castro said he explained to the officer he helps bring donations to nine shelters in Tijuana. Castro said he was detained for five and a half hours. SEATTLE (KGTV) -- Officials in Washington are investigating a hijacking from Sea-Tac Airport Friday night. According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, the plane was stolen by a 29-year-old suicidal man. The Pierce County Sheriff confirms that the stolen Horizon airplane crashed into Ketron Island. Preliminary information is that a mechanic from an unknown airline stole the plane and was doing stunts in the air and lack of flying skills caused the person to crash. Two military F-15 chased the plane but were not involved in the crash.  581

(KGTV) - A first-grade teacher at Sycamore Canyon Elementary has found a creative way to stay in touch with her students while everyone is staying home during the coronavirus Pandemic.Sarah Lathers is filming herself reading stories to her daughter, and then posting it online."I just think about my kiddos a lot, and I do miss them a lot more than I anticipated I would already," she says. "I care so much about their education and them as people. The idea of putting story time online seemed like an easy way to let her school kids know she was thinking about them.The videos already have hundreds of views. They get tears in their eyes, at times remembering stories in class. Scientists are warning that a domino effect will kick in if global temperatures rise more than 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, leading to "hothouse" conditions and higher sea levels, making some areas on Earth uninhabitable.The report, "Trajectories of the Earth System in the Anthropocene," published Monday in the American Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, said "hothouse" temperatures could stabilize 4 degrees to 5 degrees Celsius (39 to 41 Fahrenheit) higher than pre-industrial levels."Human emissions of greenhouse gas are not the sole determinant of temperature on Earth.
