SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two people are dead after a car and semi-truck collided during a Border Patrol pursuit in Otay Mesa Tuesday night, agents say. According to Border Patrol, two people were seen crossing over the border into the United States early Tuesday night. Agents described them as a man and a woman.The agency told 10News a getaway car was waiting for the pair. The driver of the car led agents on a high-speed chase reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- You can add San Diego to the list of places where a mysterious metal monolith has popped up.The mysterious object was spotted earlier this week at the Scripps Ranch Marketplace shopping center on Scripps Poway Parkway.As word of the monolith spread on social media, many people gathered around the object to take photos.There is no word on how the monolith got to the shopping center, but it has since been removed as of Wednesday morning.ABC 10News learned a social media video shows a group of teens removing the monolith and carrying it away. 573

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two horses died Sunday after being seriously injured during separate races at the Del Mar Racetrack.A third horse was also hospitalized with an injury.The track tweeted at 2:17 p.m. confirming that in Sunday's third race, Ghost Street suffered a "catastrophic injury to his left front sesamoid and was humanely euthanized."Ghost Street was a 3-year-old gelding.A short while later, Prayer Warrior, a 3-year-old colt, was euthanized after suffering an injury to his front leg in Sunday's sixth race. 527
