SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The floral tributes shut down by the pandemic, blossomed into reality Memorial Day at several national cemeteries.Susan Williams first met Gregory Torres in 1973 while he was in the Air Force navigator training program. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The California Highway Patrol said a person arrested at gunpoint on Interstate 15 in San Diego Thursday was suspected of driving illegally in the HOV lane and leading an officer on a pursuit.The chase happened on southbound I-15 just south of Aero Dr. at 5:30 p.m.Officers said the driver was in the high-occupancy vehicle lane and failed to pull over, leading to the brief pursuit.There are no reports of any injuries or a reason why the driver did not yield for the traffic stop. 508

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The man accused of killing his wife in their City Heights apartment appeared in court Tuesday. Bail was set at million at the arraignment for Abdiaziz Kerow, 45, who was arrested in Panama on March 20 and extradited to San Diego.Kerow is accused of killing his 36-year-old wife, Muna Salad Kuri. Kuri’s sister found the victim’s body in a bed in the couple’s home on the 4000 block of Van Dyke Avenue on March 4. Local businesses got permits to move service outdoors to the sidewalk, and the event celebrated the community’s resurgence of business with food, specialty items and music.Business owners like Stephanie, who runs Dreamers and Hustlers Company, a clothing shop with items branded toward the namesake, said the past few months have been hard, but she’s confident Barrio Logan shops will bounce back.“Even during these times we figure out ways we can pick ourselves up and get going again,” she said.Edgar Flores said his shop, Maxa Market, sells products made by local small businesses and entrepreneurs.
