Due to a shortage of certain commonly used blood pressure drugs, the US Food and Drug Administration took the unusual step Thursday of reminding patients that they have access to available -- if tainted -- medicines while a fresh supply of uncontaminated pills is manufactured. 289
DETROIT, Mich. – Ford is recalling over 240,000 SUVs and cars worldwide because a suspension part can fracture and increase the risk of a crash. The recall covers the Ford Flex, Taurus police car, Taurus SHO and Lincoln MKT from the 2013 through 2018 model years. Most of the recalled vehicles are in North America. Ford says if the suspension moves a lot on the vehicles, the rear toe links can fracture. Toe links help keep the rear suspension stable and the tires on the pavement. The company says it's not aware of any crashes or injuries caused by the problem in this batch of recalled vehicles. Dealers will replace toe links on both sides with new ones that are stronger. Owners will be notified starting March 2. 732

The attacks were retaliation for the U.S. killing of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani in a drone strike near Baghdad last week.“In a war situation, the first casualty is always air transport,” said Dubai-based aviation consult Mark Martin, pointing to airline bankruptcies during the Persian Gulf and Yugoslav wars.At least 500 commercial flights travel through Iranian and Iraqi airspace daily, Martin said.A Ukrainian passenger jet crashed shortly after taking off from Iran’s capital Wednesday killing 167 passengers and nine crew members just hours after 1118
DENVER, Colo. – The airline industry has taken a huge hit during the COVID-19 crisis and even though there are thousands of planes grounded, some people still need to travel.Millions of Americans are currently under stay-at-home orders which caused international air travel to plummet, but within the United States, thousands of domestic passenger flights are still taking off each day.One expert wants to inform the public about what they need to know about traveling in this climate.“Some carriers overseas have suspended operations entirely,” said Ben Mutzabaugh, senior aviation editor at The Points Guys.According to 634
Capping a week of wild trading on Wall Street, stocks ended Friday on a quiet note. The Dow fell 76 points, or about 0.3%, and the S&P 500 fell 0.1%. The Nasdaq rose slightly. The Dow's decline followed two consecutive days of gains. The Dow failed to increase three days in a row in December.Stocks often finish December with rallies, but this isn't a typical December. Huge swings in both directions have sent investors' heads spinning. The Dow had its worst-ever Christmas Eve on Monday, only to post its best-ever point gain when trading resumed on Wednesday. Stocks were sharply lower for most of Thursday before 632
