FLAGSTAFF — Steven Jones has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and three counts of aggravated assault in a 2015 deadly shooting in Flagstaff.As part of the agreement, Jones will be sentenced to between 5 and ten years in prison. He must serve at least 85 percent of the time.Steven Jones, a Northern Arizona University student at the time, opened fire on the group of people in 2015 after he says he was attacked over a small prank between two rival fraternities.The fight started after Jones and two pledges from his fraternity carried out a prank by ringing the doorbell of an apartment and running away. He testified he fired several shots "to stop the immediate threat that was coming at me."The case originally went to a jury but was declared a mistrial in 2017 because a unanimous verdict couldn’t be released.Family of the victims in the shooting have reportedly agreed to the plea deal as well. FOSTER CITY, Calif. – The maker of remdesivir, a drug shown to shorten recovery time for severely ill COVID-19 patients, has released its pricing for the treatment.Gilead announced Monday that it will charge ,340 for a typical treatment course for people covered by government health programs in the United States and other “developed countries.”As for Americans with private insurance, they’ll be charged ,120, “because of the way the U.S. system is set up and the discounts that government healthcare programs expect,” Gilead said.Based on current treatment patterns, Gilead said the vast majority of patients are expected to receive a five-day treatment course using six vials of remdesivir.
