They've even taken up archery.“We’ve hiked in the Tetons, we’ve horseback with a number of outfitters, we’ve taken day trips to other cities like Ashton in St. Anthony. We saw the dunes in St. Anthony,” Wells said.All while keeping their day jobs.“They understand as long as you’re present and you have internet access that you’re able to do whatever it is you need to do, whether you’re in an office or remote,” Wells said.Property managers say it's a trend they're seeing a lot of.“The 30-day rental used to be more of a unicorn than it is now,” Danessa Itaya, president of Property Management Inc., said.PMI has 260 franchises across the United States.“We hear from our franchisees that they’re getting these 2-3 month rentals, but they’re asking for upgrading internet so I can work remotely (and) how easy can I access the grocery store and the beach,” Itaya said.San Antonio, Texas, Austin, Texas, Naples, Florida, and Idaho are destination hot spots.“Driggs, Idaho, is a feeder into Yellowstone, into Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and they’re regularly looking at 1-3 month rentals. You don’t usually get that, especially in Driggs, Idaho,” Itaya said.Now, as fall approaches, the other inquiry is about school, and internet bandwidth to support both distance learning and remote employees.“They need high-speed internet which is not common,” Itaya said. “You don’t normally get that request from a vacation rental. Many low-income families didn’t receive that money, called Economic Impact Payments, because the stimulus checks were based on tax returns.Now, the IRS is trying to fix that, and is asking parents who did not file a 2018 or 2019 tax return to still go to their website and claim a dependent by September 30. The IRS has set up a non-filers tool to help.The non-filers site is designed for those with incomes below about ,400 for couples and ,200 for individuals, and others who are otherwise not required to file a tax return. The TSA suggests wrapping once you reach your destination, or wrapping in a gift bag.Be sure to pack gifts that contain large amounts liquid, like perfumes, gel candles or snow globes, in a checked bag. TSA allows containers with 3.4 ounces of liquid or less for carry-ons.Snowboards, snowshoes and ice skates can be carried on, but be sure to check with airlines about a plane's overhead bin space. White House officials have told congressional leaders and appropriators that President Donald Trump does not want any additional relief funding sent to Puerto Rico, a congressional leadership aide told CNN on Monday.While there are no talks to cut funds that have already been appropriated, a White House aide said negotiations have focused on keeping Puerto Rico relief funding out of a supplemental spending bill that would fund relief efforts in parts of the south that were ravaged by hurricanes this year.That aide noted Puerto Rican officials haven't yet spent all the money Congress has set aside for them, and said the administration is moving to stop any more money from going to help the island "because they don't need it and will most likely not be able to spend it."Trump's latest positioning on Puerto Rico was first reported by Axios.
