Donald Stratton nearly made the ultimate sacrifice 79 years ago. Stratton was on board the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.According to the National Park Service, Stratton joined the Navy in 1940, and was assigned to the USS Arizona.
