SEOUL, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- China, Japan and South Korea should expand trade and tap mutual investment potential to promote growth of the three East Asian neighbors amid weak economic growth worldwide, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Sunday.

This is Xi's first visit to the city-state after he took over presidency in 2013. It is also the first state visit hosted by Singapore after the Sept. 11 election.

He called on leaders of African countries to use this opportunity to renew friendship and explore cooperation with China, and chart the course for China-Africa friendly and practical cooperation in various fields.
