MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — A Milwaukee man has been charged for the assault and kidnap of a woman who he met on the app 'Tagged.'According to the criminal complaint, the victim said she entered a vehicle with Davoncia Kelly McAfee near the intersection of 58th and Hampton on Nov. 13. While in the car, an unknown man appeared from the back seat, wrapped his arms around her face, put what felt like a handgun to the back of her neck and told her to come to the back seat where he placed a blindfold over her eyes.McAfee then drove the vehicle for approximately 15 more minutes before coming to a stop. He and the man in the backseat told the victim not to move or scream as they led her out of the vehicle and up a set of stairs into an apartment living room area.The victim was then assaulted by multiple male individuals in the home.She was later taken back to her vehicle while still wearing the blindfold and was told not to turn around when she was dropped off or they would "blow her head off."During the incident, the suspects took the victim's cellphone, sweatshirt, Wisconsin ID card, and paperwork from her employer.The victim later made a Facebook post using images from McAfee's Tagged account to identify him and turn him into the Milwaukee Police Department. Police conducted interviews with McAfee where he admitted to setting up dates on the internet for sex.Police also executed a search warrant at the apartment where the victim was taken. They found a magazine for a Smith and Wesson handgun with six unfired .40 caliber cartridges and an ammunition tray with more unfired cartridges inside the residence.McAfee faces charges for First Degree Sexual Assault (Forcibly Aiding & Abetting) - PTAC and As a Party to a Crime, Kidnapping (Carries Forcibly) - PTAC, As a Party to a Crime. NASA released data on Monday indicating that the polar ice cap around the North Pole shrank to near record-low levels last week following an arctic heat wave.The ice began to melt in earnest as Siberia was an estimated 14 to 18 degrees above normal during the spring.“It was just really warm in the Arctic this year, and the melt seasons have been starting earlier and earlier,” said Nathan Kurtz, a sea ice scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. “The earlier the melt season starts, the more ice you generally lose.”The white color of ice causes sunlight to be reflected. But when the ice melts, the ground absorbs more sunlight, which causes the earth to heat up.2020 marked only the second time on record that the minimum sea ice dropped below 1.5 million square miles.“As the sea ice cover extent declines, what we’re seeing is we’re continuing to lose that multiyear ice,” said Mark Serreze, director of National Snow and Ice Data Center. “The ice is shrinking in the summer, but it’s also getting thinner. NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A Nashville ride-hailing driver is using the money she earns to make meals for the homeless.Kerry Wiles is a full-time scientist at the Cooperative Human Tissue Network at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.When Wiles was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, she made a bucket list that included driving for Uber and Lyft."I thought 'I'm going to make a bucket list of everything I've wondered about' and this was on it," said Wiles.Within a couple days, Wiles knew she liked the gig."What I found is I really like talking to the people. I like meeting them and sharing my favorite spots in Nashville," she said.But Wiles also discovered quickly that Nashville's homeless population is sizable and growing."As I was driving around I would notice the same people in the same spots and I noticed a lot of new homeless," she said.A week into it, Wiles began making meals for the homeless."If I have a rider with me, they're kind of amazed," she said.Wiles uses the fares and tips she receives to pay for the lunches. She hands them out during her shifts."If you leave a tip I match it... everything I need to make the lunches is basically subsidized by my tips and rides," she said.Wiles has her route down to a science now. On Saturdays and Sundays, she typically hands out more than 100 lunches.This summer, a customer started to help after hearing about what she does."It's the best thing in the world," said Ryan Caldwells. "It's a humbling experience. When I was a bellhop, I would see people freezing and under bridges and it just didn't sit well in my soul.""We started talking about his goals and dreams and he said he wanted to work with the homeless. I love having his help. He's energetic and an amazing 24-year-old kid," Wiles said.Recently, the duo started writing down the shoe sizes of people in the homeless community to get them boots for the colder months.WTVF's Hannah McDonald asked, "How do you fit this all into your week?""What's important you fit into your week. You just have to determine what's important. Multiple reports of illnesses have prompted a Chipotle location near Columbus, Ohio to close on Monday, both Reuters and the Columbus Dispatch reported. The Columbus Dispatch reported that a dozen customers claimed to have gotten sick after eating at the location over the weekend. The Dispatch reported that the location was last inspected on Thursday by the health department, and had two critical violations - one was for beans that were not held at a high enough temperature, and the other was for cut lettuce that was not properly cooled after preparation. The Dispatch said that these violations were corrected on the same day. “We acted quickly and closed this single restaurant out of an abundance of caution and we are working with the local health officials to reopen this restaurant as soon as possible,” a Chipotle spokeswoman said in a statement to Reuters.The Dispatch reported this location should reopen on Tuesday. In 2015, hundreds of customers were sickened across the country after eating at Chipotle. The wave of illnesses likely contributed to a decrease in business, prompting the company to wage a public campaign on food safety.  1207

MILWAUKEE -- Some Milwaukee high schoolers are crushed after the dress they ordered for prom wasn’t done in time for the dance.Indira Ali, Riverside University High School Senior, wanted a custom made prom dress for her dance on April 20.Back in February, she met with Milwaukee designer, Kelvin Hayden and they came up with a design. She said weeks went by and she couldn’t get a hold of him. “I’ve been trying to contact him about it see how my dress is coming along. Every time he would give me an excuse on why I can’t see it, why he’s not returning calls,” Ali said. Ali said her mom put down a 0 deposit for the dress through PayPal.She said she was promised the dress would be done before the dance, but it wasn’t. Hours before prom she was forced to find a different one.“He told me it was going to be done in four weeks and those four weeks came and went by and I still didn’t have a dress,” Ali said. Her mom and others were furious and shared their stories on Facebook, demanding Hayden give these girls their money back. Hayden talked with Scripps station WTMJ in Milwaukee over the phone. He said he refunded everyone and has apologized to the young girls and their mothers.He said the company he ordered lace from for one of the prom dresses kept sending the wrong kind and weeks went by and he was forced to order a different material. “I ordered some of that fabric and paid for express shipping which was well over 0, it came in and mind you, it came in the day before her prom,” said Hayden. Issues with that one dress, Hayden said, delayed his work on three other prom dresses. With 25 years experience as a designer, Hayden told WTMJ he’s never had anything like this happen before. “There’s nothing I can say that’s going to bring their special day back,” Hayden said. A photographer, Timothy Ricketts, saw the story on social media and decided he would find a way to make it up to the girls.He said he plans to get hair stylists and makeup artists involved and take professional photos of the teens for free.
