SEATTLE (KGTV) -- Newly released body camera footage shows the moment police officers nabbed a pair of thieves trying to walk out of a Seattle-area Costco carrying ,200 worth of laptops and vacuums.On March 14, South Precinct officers responded to a call at about 5:30 p.m. of a shoplift in progress at the Costco, police said. Loss Prevention officers inside the store recognized one of the suspects inside and said he had previously stolen items in the past and run out the fire exit. Responding Seattle Police Department officers spotted a female driver inside a black Toyota that was backed up to the store's emergency exit doors.  The officers pulled their patrol vehicle in front of the Toyota to prevent it from leaving and contacted the 18-year-old woman, police said.As police were talking with the woman, they could hear someone attempting to open the doors."Moments later, two suspects, a 30-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman opened the emergency doors and attempted to walk out of the store carrying stolen computers and vacuum cleaners," police said.Officers located a 7″ fixed blade from the male suspect. According to the security personnel, the suspect had carried a large knife in past incidents.The male suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for investigation of robbery, while the two women were booked for investigation of theft, police said. 1428

(KGTV) - Several white nationalist posters were discovered at California State University San Marcos, campus officials said Tuesday.The posters, which were found at various locations Monday, advertised a group that is identified by multiple civil rights organizations as a hate group, according to CSUSM.According to the university, the group responsible for putting up the posters, Identity Evropa, is the same group that put up posters at SDSU in February. The university believes the timing of the posters is connected to the Pittsburgh shooting.University Police removed the posters, which violated the college’s posting policy, officials said. The college is investigating the matter.“While we grieve for the victims and offer our support to those impacted – the survivors, their friends, family members and loved ones – I want to be clear: White supremacy and anti-Semitism, or any other doctrines that expose hate and elevate one group above another, have no place at Cal State San Marcos,” said CSUSM President Karen Haynes in a news release.“We strongly condemn language and actions that promote racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, violence, discrimination and other forms of hate. SAN MARCOS (CNS) -- A young man was killed in a solo-vehicle rollover crash down an embankment near a San Marcos school, authorities said Tuesday.The crash was reported around 6:40 p.m. Monday on Schoolhouse Way, east of Elfin Forest Road near San Elijo Middle School, San Diego County Sheriff's Sgt. Charles Morreale said.Investigators determined a 19-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet pickup southbound on Schoolhouse Way at high speed when he lost control of the truck, struck a curb and the vehicle overturned down an embankment, Morreale said.The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the sergeant said. SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Two men used semi-automatic handguns to rob a T-Mobile store Tuesday afternoon, according to San Diego Police. Police say the incident happened around 12:40 p.m. at the T-Mobile store on the 4300 block of Camino De La Plaza. The men reportedly walked into the store wearing white masks before taking several phones and fleeing the scene in what police describe as a four-door subcompact vehicle. Police were unable to find the suspects after setting up a perimeter and searching the area. Detectives are investigating the incident. 569

(AP) — A Black man in Georgia is accusing police of violating his civil rights, saying a white officer slammed him to the ground and broke his wrist in the mistaken belief that there was a warrant for his arrest. An attorney for 46-year-old Antonio Arnelo Smith of Valdosta, Georgia, said he's still in pain and emotionally devastated more than four months later. Smith is suing Valdosta police and other city leaders in federal court.
