NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Sometimes people suffering with opioid addiction turn to others for help. But sadly professionals listening may need help of their own. After a local addiction treatment consultant died from an overdose, people in his community are asking others who are battling the disease to come forward.Jeremiah Jackson died on Nov. 10. He worked as a treatment consultant at American Addiction Centers in Brentwood helping others with their addictions. People who knew him said he was loved, and called his death a shock. Chris Boutte said Jackson was dedicated to his work."I know that was helping him so much, when we get to help others that helps us so much," Boutte said. The two first met when Boutte became an Alumni Coordinator and consultant. "We just met and he helped me out with a lot of early struggles. Just dealing with clients who had relapsed and calling me and needing help and people passing away," he said.Boutte spoke to Jackson last month and was surprised to hear of his passing."Jeremiah was just a great example like he is somebody I needed in my life and he was also laughing and joking around and he would freestyle rap and like sing and break dance. He could just...everybody loved the dude," he said.Jackson had been clean for more than four years and shared his heroin addiction story with WTVF TV station in Nashville in December 2017. While working at AAC, Jackson attended a separate recovery program. He was clean for more than four years but last weekend he died from an overdose.Cindy Spelta has worked at Cumberland Heights helping others with their drug and alcohol addictions for more than 15 years. She said people in her field may sometimes need even more help than those they are treating. She said she has been sober from cocaine usage and alcohol for 17 years and also participates in a recovery program. Spelta said Jackson's passing is devastating and is possibly an example of what professionals call "compassion fatigue." "You're dealing with people whose lives have been destroyed and whose families' lives have been destroyed and all that is coming at you every day," she said. She also said each day the tolerance level for people in recovery drops while the chances of a fatal relapse go up. Spelta said anyone with an addiction, no matter how small, needs to talk about it.She said the addiction disease does not discriminate. In a statement, Jeremiah's sister Summer said: 2535

MT. LAGUNA, Calif. (KGTV) - A new destination outside San Diego's City limits is challenging people to unglue from technology and live with less. It's called Tiny House Block and is currently made up of 10 tiny homes nestled in Mt. Laguna. "The vision of Tiny House Block is to create a place where community converges, where we celebrate unity through diversity, where we all get to experience our shared humanity," said Jon Block, who co-founded the village with his sister. "Some wise people realized, enough of the madness already! And decided, not for financial reasons, but for happiness, peace of mind, pure lifestyle choice, decided to go smaller."Each of the tiny houses has a theme, including Farmhouse, Stargazer, and Sedona Spirit; they range from 170 sq/ft to 500 sq/ft.A customer favorite is Greenhouse, a tiny house dedicated to cannabis, conversation, and community. "We are creating a resort village here, we want people to have a certain vibration, and they're here to really get away, and they want to connect with other people on a similar type of wavelength," said Block. Block hopes to have 25 homes in the village by next year and invites visitors to stay for a few nights or long term. You can book your tiny house getaway on Airbnb. More details are coming out about Rudy Giuliani’s scenes in the upcoming “Borat” film, featuring comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. Earlier this summer, Giuliani, Trump’s personal attorney and former mayor of New York City, called police after the incident.Reviews of Cohen’s movie, “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” appeared online Wednesday ahead of its Friday release on Amazon Prime. Vanity Fair and The Guardian describe the scene with Giuliani in more detail, in which he agrees to an interview with a young woman in her hotel room.Cohen’s co-star in the movie, Maria Bakalova, is posing as a journalist and sets up an interview with Giuliani. They meet in a hotel room, “where he holds her hands, compliments her appearance, and follows her to the bedroom. She spends some time elaborately taking off their microphones; briefly, he lies down on the bed. His hand is in his pants,” writes Sonia Saraiya with Vanity Fair. The Guardian says Giuliani follows her to the bedroom to have a drink and “can be seen lying back on the bed, fiddling with his untucked shirt and reaching into his trousers.”At which point, Cohen runs into the room in character, and yells “She’s 15. She’s too old for you.” Bakalova’s character is 15 in the movie, she’s 24 in real life.Giuliani posted on Twitter Wednesday afternoon, saying the video was "complete fabrication. I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar." 1561
