Shortly after prosecutors said Wednesday they intend to release video that is expected to show Robert Kraft receiving sexual services at a Florida day spa, the New England Patriots owner's legal team filed an emergency motion aiming to block the release.Kraft's lawyers has maintained that releasing the video would violate their client's constitutional rights and hamper his chance for a fair trial.The Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office said earlier that it would release video showing Kraft and 24 other men charged after a monthslong, multi-jurisdictional sting, according to court documents.The release would come not in the case against Kraft but in the cases of two women accused of running the Orchids of Asia Day Spa that Kraft is accused of patronizing, court documents show.As custodian of the records, prosecutors say state law compels them to release the evidence to the media. They intended to "pixelate or blur depictions of obscene or pornographic images before releasing such records to the public, absent a court order," the court documents said.It was not clear when prosecutors intended to release the video.At a Friday hearing, Judge Leonard Hanser did not rule on whether to release video but asked all parties to submit proposed orders in the case by Tuesday.Hundreds of people were charged in the sting involving several massage parlors and day spas in Florida. Researchers have found a new way to predict some aspects of mental illness, before it happens. They used artificial intelligence and more than 60 million health records. Dr. Bruce Kinon has always been fascinated by the brain. Motivated by a desire to find better treatments for mental disorders, he co-authored a study in a collaboration with Lundbeck and Kings College in London. They developed a tool that could identify early symptoms of "first episode of psychosis,” commonly referred to as when someone has a "break."“Most schizophrenia begins with the first episode of psychosis. This is a marked change in normal behavior. This is where the patient all of a sudden, rather suddenly, begins acting bizarrely, may have thoughts not based in reality,” Dr. Kinon explained. That first episode is critical, and the beginning of the lifelong disability known as schizophrenia. So, what if they could predict that first break? It's not something you can test for. “What we’ve done in this study is basically developed a population tool that one could screen populations of individuals who haven’t been identified through any health care professional as possibly having those precedence of developing a prodromal or at risk state for psychosis,” Dr. Kinon said.Dr. Kinon says there's usually some sort of stressor that leads to that break.“These periods of first psychosis seem to be preceded by what we call prodromal symptoms, a simmering, under the surface of symptoms,” he said. “Usually the individual feels out of sorts, that they don’t understand what’s going on around them. Their social relationships may be aborted."Dr. Kinon worked with IBM Watson Health Explorys Solutions. They took more than 60 million anonymized health records, including those who'd had a diagnosis of first episode of psychosis, and put them through privatization machines and let the artificial intelligence do the work. “Sometimes when you have all this data across billions of data points across thousands of patients, it becomes hard for us as humans to see the data and find patterns that’s where machine learning comes into play,” said Dr. Anil Jain, Vice President and Chief Health Information Officer at IBM Watson Health.Dr. Jain says think of it like a virtual clinical study, where you're looking for patterns. And imagine how that could one day help doctors. It took two years to get to this point, and they're not done yet. Now that there's a predictive model looking for patterns, they need to design a clinical trial so as to create an intervention. “Imagine down the road, not today, that you put this model back in the hands of clinicians who are taking care of patients that’s how you connect the dots between what we can discover from big data and real world evidence and machine learning algorithms back to the practice of medicine.”There's still a lot of questions. Would people want to know what's coming? Or the risks? Or the stigma? But for now, it's a big step, using big data, possibly leading to big medical breakthroughs. TAMPA, Fla. — An alarming new study found certain engines in Kia and Hyundai vehicles are more likely to catch fire than any other vehicles on the road, according to a report by Scripps affiliate WFTS-TV in Tampa.Matt Moore, who oversaw the engine study at the Highway Loss Data Institute, reported Kia and Hyundai vehicles with two-liter, turbocharged engines were more than three times more likely to catch fire than engines in any other similar-sized vehicle on U.S. roads.“These things tend to be very catastrophic,” Moore told I-Team Investigator Jackie Callaway. “An increase of three and half a times the control population is a serious problem.”Those engines are found in 2011 to 2015 Kia Optima, 2011 to 2014 Hyundai Sonatas and 2013 to 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sports.The automakers have recalled most of those vehicles since January. Hyundai points out that it started recalling vehicles back in 2015 and again in 2017. The automakers have yet to recall all vehicles running on another potentially hazardous engine – a 2.4-liter model that the institute found is nearly two times more likely to catch fire. The automaker does say however that they have recalled many models that contained the 2.4 liter engine.That was the same engine in Kirstin Wilson’s 2016 Kia Sportage when it burst into flames as she drove down a Georgia highway last summer.“It literally blew up in front of us with all of our stuff in it,” said Wilson.But Wilson’s SUV is not among the hundreds of thousands of models Kia recently recalled for fire hazards.A Kia spokesman said the automaker negotiated a resolution with Wilson because she only owned the vehicle for one month before the incident.Fernanda Krueger’s 2016 Kia Sorento is also not on the recall list – even though her SUV with a 2.4-liter engine burned up last April in San Diego.“I was driving with my car on fire,” said Krueger.Kia and Hyundai have recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles since January, but the Center for Auto Safety told the I-Team that’s still not enough.
