"China is always open toward addressing the concerns of the US side via dialogue and cooperation," the commission said.

"China and the EU do not have fundamental conflicts of interests. China-EU interactions are a mutually beneficial positive cycle, not a competition where one side loses and the other side wins," the minister said.

"China has been the top trade partner of Africa for 10 years in a row," said Qian, pointing out that China-Africa trade has been growing steadily, reaching 4.2 billion in 2018, up 20 percent year-on-year.

"China believes that in the process of revitalizing the General Assembly, we need to make full use of the opportunity presented by the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and push the UNGA to further improve its work, boost efficiency, and thus fully fulfill its responsibilities under the (UN) Charter," said the envoy.
