TAMPA, Fla. — George Streets, Jr., is just 10-years-old and he’s somewhat of a boxing phenom.“When I was little, I always wanted to box,” George, Jr. said.His trainer Malcolm Peck has been working with George for about a year.“The determination, the way he processes things, the energy he has is different,” Peck said. “It’s definitely different.”When George was a 2-year-old, he would walk around the house punching everything in his path.“T trained by punching the couch,” he said. “My dad would be asking me what I was doing. I’d be ‘ha, ha, ha, ha’ punching the couch.”“He punched a hole in the side of that couch,” his father George, Sr. added.And, that’s how he got the nickname — Lil Savage. He’s mildly autistic and diagnosed with an extreme case of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Boxing has improved his focus.“Boxing allows you to utilize that energy, stay focused, if you’re not focused and you look to your left or right, you’re going to get hit in the face,” George, Sr. said. “It’s going to hurt pretty bad."“It helps him with his attention span tremendously. His grades have improved. He went from being a D-F student to an A-B student.”Lil Savage trains for about four hours each day. He wakes up a 5 a.m. for conditioning drills and goes to the boxing gym after school.The hardest part for him getting into the ring was finding a trainer willing to work with such a young boxer.“No one wanted to train me because I was a little kid,” George, Jr. said. “But when I showed them I could spar, then they really wanted to train me.”He knows the stakes are high with gloves on in the ring, and he wants to be on top.“My goal is to be the best boxer and be myself.”You can see Lil Savage in action later this month. SunTrust says a former employee may have tried to print information on about 1.5 million customers and share it with a "criminal third party."Chairman and CEO William Rogers Jr. made the announcement Friday as the regional bank released its quarterly earnings.Rogers said the bank believes the information included names and account balances, but not Social Security numbers, account numbers or passwords. He also said the bank has not identified "significant fraudulent activity" on the accounts.Rogers said this was discovered "in conjunction with law enforcement." He did not identify or elaborate on the criminal third party.SunTrust is the 12th-largest US commercial bank by assets, according to the Federal Reserve. TAMPA, Fla. — Commuters at Tampa International were hit with a serious dose of puppy love on Friday afternoon.The pup-arazzi was on hand to capture the moment a service dog went into labor while waiting for a flight at Tampa International Airport. Elli, short for Eleanor Rigby, is a two-year-old Labrador Retriever and service dog. She was waiting to fly to Philadelphia with her owner Diane Vanatter when she went into labor.  Tampa Fire Rescue was on hand to help deliver the puppies.   532

The Big Ten Conference, comprised of 14 universities spanning from the east coast to midwest, will only play in-conference matches this fall.In a statement released Thursday afternoon, the conference said “if the Conference is able to participate in fall sports (men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball) based on medical advice, it will move to Conference-only schedules in those sports.”The conference made it clear all summer athletic activities (practices, etc.) are voluntary. They also said any athlete who chooses not to participate in their sport at any time during the summer or 2020/2021 academic year because of COVID-19 concerns will continue to have their scholarship honored by their school and will remain in good standing with the team. By limiting matches to conference-only opponents, Big Ten hopes to remain nimble enough to adjust their “operations throughout the season and make quick decisions in real-time based on the most current evolving medical advice and the fluid nature of the pandemic.”The Big Ten Conference includes: University of Michigan, Northwestern University, Wisconsin University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Penn State University, Ohio State University, Michigan State University, Purdue University, University of Minnesota, Indiana University, University of Iowa, University of Nebraska, Rutgers University, and University of Maryland.The Big Ten Conference’s decision follows a few hours after the Atlantic Coast Conference decided some of their fall sports would not begin competitive matches until September 1.
