SEOUL, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Sunday urged Japan to properly handle and manage sensitive issues in bilateral ties and called for concerted efforts to maintain and strengthen the positive momentum in the rapprochement between China and Japan.
The plan lays down the guidelines China will follow in the next five years. Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi said it offers opportunities to China-Africa win-win cooperation as Africa has set accelerated industrialization and sustainable development as primary goals in its first-decade plan.
What is most important for the two leaders is not discussing specific issues, but to point out the future direction for bilateral ties from a strategic perspective, said Nguyen Huy Qui, a longtime China observer and a former researcher with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
"China and Mongolia are good neighbors, good friends and good partners," Xi said during talks with Elbegdorj at the Great Hall of the People. Invited by Xi, Elbegdorj is in Beijing for a state visit to China from Monday to Wednesday.
The three countries welcomed the agreement between the two sides of the Korean Peninsula that resolved tensions on the peninsula in August, and hoped the agreement will lead to meaningful progress on inter-Korean relations.
