Two weeks after being grounded by the FAA, a Boeing 737 Max airplane en route from Orlando, Florida, to Victorville, California, had to return to Orlando International Airport to make an emergency landing Tuesday afternoon, the Associated Press reported. The jet, which was being shuttled to California for storage, only had two pilots on board. The jet belongs to Southwest Airlines, according to the AP.The Boeing 737 Max was grounded by US officials two weeks ago following the second deadly crash involving the series of planes. The AP reported that the emergency was not related to a glitch in the anti-stall software, which investigators believe caused the two previous planes to crash. On March 13, the FAA released a statement that said, "The grounding (of Boeing 737 Max planes) will remain in effect pending further investigation, including examination of information from the aircraft’s flight data recorders and cockpit voice recorders. She was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic in her childhood and has lived with diabetes for almost 48 years.The price tag for a bottle of insulin now can reach up to 0 in the United States.Insulin helps diabetics manage their blood sugar. DeVore’s childhood doctor told her she wouldn’t live past 40. She recently turned 59 years old.Diabetics often have to buy multiple bottles of insulin at a time. For someone with a high deductible prescription plan, that money comes right out of their pocket.“To afford that, which happens to be more than my own mortgage, it’s unreachable for some families,” DeVore explained.The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates around 30 million people in America have diabetes, which is almost 10 percent of the population. The national price of insulin increased from 4 in 2012 to 6 in 2016, according to the Health Cost Institute.“It’s the most expensive part of our lives,” Michelle Fenner said. Her 17-year-old son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes nine years ago.“It impacts us on vacations we can take, our ability to save for retirement,” she said. “We’ve had to pull from savings.”Insulin isn’t the only medication with a rising price tag. Fenner was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease just a year ago. Her medication can cost her more than ,000 a month. Prices can fluctuate based on the insurance’s drug coverage.“As I’m trying to keep my son alive and pay for all of his costs, am I going to be able to afford my medication?” she said.“Overall, drug prices have continued to increase,” said Gina Moore, the president of the Colorado Pharmacists Society. “We’re all touched personally by the cost of medications. UPDATE JAN. 15: Las Vegas police arrested a woman who they say lied about the suspected gunman. The shooting took place in August of 2019 on Interstate 15 near Blue Diamond Road. Police say a white van pulled up next to another car and shot the driver. Vegas authorities interviewed Marcia Mingo days after the shooting and believed she lied to officers when they asked her who the shooter was.Mingo has been charged with aiding a felony offender. Twin 3-year-old girls in foster care were found dead Sunday in a hot vehicle in Georgia, according to a statement by the City of Hinesville.The statement said someone called 911 at 1:42 p.m. to report that two children who'd been missing had been found unresponsive in a vehicle in the backyard of a home.First responders arrived and found the two deceased toddlers inside. The temperature was around 92 degrees Fahrenheit at the time, according to CNN Weather.The girls, Raelynn and Payton Keyes, were in foster care, according to Whitney Morris-Reed, public relations manager for the City of Hinesville. Police said the girls didn't reside at the house where they were found but often spent time there."A search warrant for the home was obtained and GBI was contacted to assist with the investigation," according to the city's statement. "A crime scene unit processed the scene with the assistance from GBI and the bodies of the children were removed from the scene and taken to the crime lab.
