BEIJING, May 11 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will speed up the establishment of a special account and development bank in order to enhance its members' ability to cope with new threats and challenges.
"We need to remain sober-minded and take a firm and clear stand on major issues of principle," he added while delivering a work report of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) at the parliamentary annual session.
"The Thai side remains committed to the one-China policy and recognizes the government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legal government representing the whole of China and that Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory and supports the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations," the statement said.
The two sides also expressed their satisfaction with the current cooperation framework in the energy sector, promising to further implement related agreements signed between the two governments, and create advantageous conditions for the establishment and operation of the China-Kazakhstan oil and gas pipeline.
The Chinese side also appreciated Indonesia's continued support towards China's Yuanwang scientific instrumentation ship sailing into designated Indonesian sea areas to carry out TT&C (Telemetry Tracking and Command) support for China's Compass navigation satellite launch missions.
