(KGTV) - Were people who accidentally typed in Berniesander.com getting redirected to a donation page for Joe Biden?Yes, but not any more.Until March 11th, Berniesander.com *(missing the 's') took you to a donation page with Joe Biden's presidential campaign logo. If you did it on a phone, you couldn't even see the logo, which made it possible to donate to Biden without even knowing it.But apparently there was serious backlash over this, because the page is now gone if you try to go to it. 503

A 17-year-old has been charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of a teenage girl at an Alabama high school on Wednesday, the district attorney's office announced.Michael Jerome Barber is charged as an adult in the death of 17-year-old Courtlin Arrington, Jefferson County District Attorney Mike Anderton said in a news release Friday. Barber also faces a charge of "being a certain person forbidden to possess a pistol" for having the firearm on school grounds. It was not immediately clear on Friday afternoon if Barber was represented by an attorney.Arrington was an aspiring nurse and a senior attending Huffman High School in Birmingham when two gunshots rang out around dismissal time on Wednesday afternoon, killing her and injuring another 17-year-old male student, the district attorney's statement said.Investigators with the Birmingham Police Department spoke with "many of the students in the school, in the classroom where the shooting took place and collected evidence from the scene," the release said. "Based on the evidence as presented to us, warrants were issued for the person responsible for this horrific tragedy.""Our hearts go out to the family of Ms. Arrington, all of her friends, and those whose lives would have been changed through her nursing dreams had this event not occurred," the statement said. "This is a parent's worst nightmare."Birmingham police Chief Orlando Wilson said earlier this week that police considered the shooting accidental, though he did not elaborate. The school was placed on a brief lockdown when the shots were fired on Wednesday afternoon, and police responded to the scene. The school has metal detectors, and school resource officers were on site at the time of the shooting, according to Birmingham City Schools Superintendent Lisa Herring.Wednesday's school shooting in Birmingham was the 14th in the US in 2018.The-CNN-Wire? & ? 2018 Cable News Network, Inc., a Time Warner Company. “Do you hear that Fezzik? That is the sound of ultimate suffering. My heart made that sound when the six-fingered man killed my father. (KGTV) - San Diego-based Rep. Scott Peters described his trip to a migrant detention center near McAllen, Texas, as "stunningly depressing.""The single men were being held in a series of rooms, each built for say 8-10 people and I think they had 40 people in them ... The faces of these men just looking out with desperate looks through these windows, some of them shirtless, it's obviously very hot in those places," the Democratic congressman said of his July 13 visit.Peters described the stench from the facility due to the inability for the men to shower. He said another holding facility the size of a convention center, had women and children in rooms divided by chain-link fence. "For the small children there's a small area where they can have toys. There's a few tragic sights you see of four or five-year-olds who are unaccompanied," he said.He said San Diego isn't dealing with nearly as many migrants compared to Texas, "the night before we arrived they picked up 2,000 people." He said he's proud of how San Diegans have stepped up, creating a migrant shelter downtown to fill in the gaps created with new laws meant to speed up the process."They do the intake, provide medical assessments, and then get these people on their way so that they can be out on their way with their family around the country and ready for their asylum hearing," he said.Ultimately he said there needs to be change at the southern border and in the countries causing their citizens to flee. 1490
