A school bus driver's camera recorded the scary moment when another driver stopped in the middle of the Massachusetts Pike, exited his car and climbed onto the hood of the bus.Video recorded Tuesday shows a man forcing the bus to stop in the middle of the highway, then climb onto the vehicle's hood.The man got out right in the middle of the highway and he goes to the door of the bus.The bus driver does not let him in. So, he then goes back to the front and jumps right on the hood.The bus driver says the man was screaming that the windows on the bus were too dark."A man jumped on my bus going on the Mass. Turnpike, pulled me over in the middle lane and stopped the bus," said the bus driver."What did he say to you?" asked WCVB reporter John Atwater."His words were, 'Why are your windows dark?' I had the same reaction! A new survey of parents nationwide finds nearly a third say the benefits of gathering with extended family for the holidays are worth the risk of spreading or getting the coronavirus, and almost 3-in-5 plan to see extended family in person.This is according to a poll conducted by the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in partnership with the University of Michigan. They heard from almost 1,500 parents with at least one child 12 or younger.Among parents who usually see extended family, outside their household, on Thanksgiving, 61 percent said they still plan to meet in-person in some way for the holiday this week. However, only 18 percent of those family get togethers are planning to include people from out-of-state.“For many parents, holidays mean sharing special rituals across different generations and opportunities for children to connect with grandparents, cousins, and other relatives,” Sarah Clark, M.P.H., a co-director at Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll on Children’s Health, said.“Our report suggests that while many children have spent less time with relatives during the pandemic, some parents may have a hard time foregoing holiday gatherings in order to reduce COVID-19 risks.”Of those planning to get together in person, some parents say they are considering changes because of the pandemic. These include asking people with symptoms or recent exposures not to attend, limiting contact between young children and elderly guests, keeping guests socially distant when possible, and wearing masks indoors.Nearly two-thirds of those planning to get together in-person said they would not invite certain family members who have not been practicing safety precautions like wearing a mask in public.Clark warns parents that these conversations with family members could get uncomfortable.“It may be difficult to maintain distance between children and high risk adults throughout a multi-day visit or even during a lengthy dinner,” Clark said in a release about the survey. “Parents should be realistic about how feasible it will be to limit contact and think carefully about whether to gather in person with high-risk family members.”The findings are being published as coronavirus cases are spiking in America, reaching 12 million positive cases since the pandemic started, an increase of 1 million positive cases in just six days. A trip to "The Happiest Place On Earth" turned into a nightmare, according to an Inland Empire woman who spent two nights at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. Ivy Eldridge was a guest at the hotel back in April, when she claims she was bitten by bed bugs, suffering physical, financial and emotional damages, according to a complaint filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Eldridge has hired attorney Brian Virag, who specializes in bedbug litigation, to bring a lawsuit against the hotel, along with the Walt Disney Co. and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Virag claims that Eldridge was bitten all over her upper body, including her face, ears, arm, neck and back. "People put trust in the Disney name and pay top dollar to stay at the Disneyland Hotel," Virag said. "In this case, Ms. Eldridge's trust was betrayed." Virag is also currently representing Victoria's Secret model Sabrina Jales St. Pierre, in a bed bug related lawsuit being brought against Embassy Suites Palm Desert. "Bed bugs don't discriminate," Virag said. "They are found in hotels throughout the country and worldwide. Those who can’t strike for a full day will walk out for about eight minutes — the amount of time prosecutors say a white Minneapolis police officer held his knee on George Floyd’s neck — in remembrance of Black men and women who died recently at the hands of police.The national strike will also include worker-led marches through participating cities, organizers said Wednesday.According to details shared exclusively with The Associated Press, organizers are demanding sweeping action by corporations and government to confront systemic racism in an economy that chokes off economic mobility and career opportunities for many Black and Hispanic workers, who make up a disproportionate number of those earning less than a living wage. They also stress the need for guaranteed sick pay, affordable health care coverage and better safety measures for low-wage workers who never had the option of working from home during the coronavirus pandemic.“We have to link these fights in a new and deeper way than ever before,” said Mary Kay Henry, president of the Service Employees International Union, which represents over 2 million workers in the U.S. and Canada.“Our members have been on a journey … to understanding why we cannot win economic justice without racial justice. A Middle Tennessee woman visiting Gatlinburg with her family got quite a surprise when she found a bear outside their hotel. Kim Vastola, of Watertown was in Gatlinburg for her son’s baseball tournament and was staying on the first floor of a Quality Inn.Vastola was startled when she heard people yelling about a bear. She went outside and captured video of the bear on a tree behind the hotel before he made his way around the building. Vastola said the person at the front desk told her the "town bear" – named Robert – was lurking around but there was no need to be alarmed.Apparently, “Robert” lives in the area and roams when he comes out of hibernation.
