SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Airbnb reported this year how much revenue it contributes to renters and the City of San Diego during high-demand events and holiday weekends.The vacation rental website said it generated an estimated million in transient occupancy taxes for the City of San Diego between July 2015 and Aug. 2019.San Diego was a popular destination for travelers last summer, Airbnb reported. Gavin Newsom to reopen Disneyland Resort theme parks.According to the Voice of Orange County website, Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu said the city is looking at a 0 million budget deficit. Sidhu added that half of the city's general fund budget comes from Disneyland's revenue and the Anaheim Convention Center.The city is now asking Newsom to issue COVID-related health guidelines for theme parks.USA Today reported park officials believe theme parks have been left waiting on the sidelines while other parts of the state economy have reopened. Anaheim is currently in Stage 2 of its reopening plan, which excludes theme parks.Both Disneyland and Universal Studios in Southern California shut their doors to the public in mid-March after Newsom's order to suspend large gatherings.California theme park officials say they've had time to work on reopening plans that would allow them to safely welcome guests. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Amid fears of post-election unrest, parishioners at San Diego's oldest church are meeting the possibility of violence with prayer.It's the morning of the election and Peggy Stolberg is hoping to cast a vote for peace — through prayer."It always seems like prayers are the answers to many things," said Stolberg.Stolberg spent part of her morning in the sanctuary of the Mission San Diego de Alcala, her church for the last 35 years."I pray for the unity of our country. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A towering geyser sent water and debris into the sky near Torrey Pines Tuesday, prompting traffic issues near busy construction.The geyser erupted around 11 a.m. on Genesee Avenue just west of Interstate 5.
