TOKYO (AP) — Organizers are saying that a limited number of non-Japanese fans may be allowed to attend next year's Tokyo Olympics.CEO Toshiro Muto says after a meeting on infection countermeasures that fans could face some stringent rules. This would include screening for COVID-19 before they leave home. Non-Japanese fans may also face a 14-day quarantine, depending on their area of origin.Muto says this is still open to discussion.When asked if foreigners to Japan would follow the rules, Muto said it'd be difficult to control their movement and behavior.According to Reuters, Muto said that Olympic organizers are working with Japanese authorities to ensure that athletes and Olympic-related staff will not have to quarantine for 14 days.The goal is for athletes and workers to train and perform their duties leading up to the Olympics, which are expected to start in Summer 2021.There will be extensive screening on arrival and perhaps health-tracking apps to download and a rule book to be complied with. 1021

To save eagles, some hunters have stopped using lead ammunition. The Fontenelle Forest Raptor Recovery has seen an increase in the amount of eagles and other birds coming in with lead poisoning.So far this year, nine eagles have been treated at the center; only three remain alive after intense treatments.This sights of this iconic bird being poisoned by lead-based ammo has some hunters thinking twice before buying lead.Kent Walton is an avid hunter who lives in Papillion, Nebraska. He said he's been hunting his whole life and will not buy lead-based ammo because of its affects on these birds."I made the switch to non-toxic shot, steel, tungsten, bismuth and those types of things, and that's what I use now in the field," he said.Many hunters said they chose lead because it's cheaper, and because they believe it makes their shot more accurate. Walton disagrees: "I don't see any difference in performance."This mission tugs at Walton's heartstrings because he also helps bring birds into Raptor Recovery when they are sick or injured. "It's not pretty," he said. "It's very sick, and it takes a lot to get them back on their feet, if you can."Walton hopes other hunters will take his lead."If you love to see the eagles soaring overhead and you love the fact they are coming back to Nebraska, there's more and more nests here then there were last year," he said. TORONTO, Canada (KGTV) -- Canadian law enforcement officials have released disturbing surveillance footage showing a masked suspect posing as a delivery man firing a crossbow into a woman.The video, which was captured Nov. 7, 2018 but released this week, shows the suspect approaching the 44-year-old victim's porch holding a large cardboard box. The suspect rings the doorbell, exchanges words with the victim, then fires an arrow into her chest, leaving her with life-threatening injuries. The suspect then fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle parked nearby, police said."After a brief conversation, the suspect shot the victim with an arrow using a crossbow that was concealed inside of the box," Peel Regional Police said.Investigators said the attack was premeditated, targeted, and isolated "based on the conversation that occurred between the victim and the suspect." No further details about the conversation were disclosed.Police said the suspect used an arrow "designed to hunt large game such as moose and deer and inflict the maximum amount of damage possible."Officers are seeking the public's help identifying the suspect in the attempted murder case. Toby the cat has been on quite the adventure in recent weeks.After his owners near Raleigh, North Carolina decided to drop off Toby at a friend's home, Toby left to return to his previous owners, who lived 12 miles away, according to the SPCA of Wake County, North Carolina. Instead of taking Toby back in after his 12-mile trek, the family instead took him to a shelter and requested the staff euthanize the cat. He was then transferred to the SPCA, which is a no-kill shelter.Toby is a healthy 7-year-old feline who has enough energy to walk 12 miles.On the SPCA’s Facebook page, dozens of commenters criticized the owners’ actions, with some offering to adopt Toby.On Monday, the SPCA announced that Toby had found a permanent home.“He has three new siblings (one feline and two human) and a cat-savvy mom to show him what a loving family is really like,” the shelter said on its Facebook page. 920
