A man accused of gunning down an international student at the University of Utah on Monday has been captured after an overnight manhunt, authorities in Salt Lake City said.Both Austin Boutain and his wife, Kathleen, are in custody, police said. The couple also were wanted for questioning in connection to the death of a man several days ago in Golden, Colorado, according to University of Utah Police Chief Dale Brophy.Austin Boutain, 24, was arrested Tuesday, Salt Lake City police said in a tweet.The victim in Golden, who has yet to be identified, died within the last three to five days in a recreational vehicle, Brophy said.Golden Police Department Capt. Joe Harvey stressed that the Boutains are persons of interest, and not suspects, in the Colorado death. Details of the death were "cloudy," he said, but there was a nexus between the Utah and Colorado cases and police would like to interview the couple."We just know they were here," he said, speaking in front of the RV where the body was found.Kathleen Boutain, 23, was booked into the Salt Lake City jail until Golden authorities can question her, Brophy said. A group of siblings are back together after being separated in foster care.A Texas couple with three biological children officially adopted the five siblings over a Zoom call in May, doubling the size of their family.Andi Bonura says she and her husband, Thomas, had been wanting to adopt after years of pregnancy issues. Their three existing children, Joey, Sadie and Daphne, were born premature. They also lost one child during a pregnancy and another died in the NICU.So, in 2017, the couple got licensed to become foster parents. Their first foster child was Bryson, who is now 2 years old. The couple then began fostering two of Bryson’s older siblings, David and Gabrielle.Eventually, the two final siblings, Thomas and Carter, started visiting the Bonura home and asked if they could also come live with them, according to Bonura.Bonura says that one day, she got a call saying their foster children’s biological parents were terminating their rights to the kids and they were given the option to adopt them. They said yes.Bonura says finally adopting the children was so freeing and felt wonderful.“We had been working so hard for years to get them all together, to bond as a family and it just feels so amazing to all of us, knowing we are a family, finally,” said Bonura.If you’re considering becoming a foster parent or adopting, Bonura says to do it if you can.“It will be the single most important and meaningful thing in your life,” she said. “The struggles to get to the place, your goal, is worth every tear. Those results were released when it had been confirmed that 94 participants in the trial who received a shot had contracted COVID-19, and only 10% of those participants who contracted the virus had actually received the vaccine. Updated information now shows that 170 people who participated in the trial have contracted COVID-19, which crosses the threshold for final analysis. Of those participants, 162 received a placebo shot. Of the 20,000 participants who received the vaccine, just one has developed a severe case of COVID-19. The other seven people who received the vaccine and caught the virus are only experiencing mild symptoms.Pfizer also added that the vaccine has proven to be 94% efficient in older people — a welcome sign, given that the virus tends to present more severe symptoms in elderly patients.Pfizer's trial included about 40,000 participants, half of which received the vaccine, and the other half which received the placebo. The vaccine requires two shots, which need to be taken 28 days apart.The company added that there have been no safety concerns with the vaccine.
