BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- China Saturday issued a regulation on the implementation of the Audit Law, which required close audit to government-funded projects, to make sure financial funds were properly used.The regulation, issued by the State Council, or China's Cabinet, asked auditing offices to conduct follow-up audit to organizations or projects, which were funded or partly funded by government.The regulation was revised and passed at an executive meeting of the State Council on Feb. 2 and will become effective on May 1 this year.Under the regulation, audit authorities are entitled to launch special investigation into government departments or organizations on budget management or the management and utilization of state assets.To ensure accurate and impartial auditing, the regulation provides that organizations are entitled to apply for government adjudication, administrative review or lodge a lawsuit if they disagree with the audit results.The current Audit Law was amended and passed in February 2006 by the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress.

BEIJING, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- A 40-member Chinese medical care and epidemic prevention team left here for Haiti on Sunday afternoon on a chartered flight, which also carried 20 tonnes of medical supplies, said the Ministry of Commerce (MOC).The MOC said earlier in the day that China had decided to provide medical supplies worth 18 million yuan (2.64 million U.S. dollars) in additional aid to quake-ravaged Haiti.The 20-tonne medical supplies included medicines, hygiene equipment, medical devices and camping equipment, said the ministry in a statement.Also onboard the plane would be four Chinese peace-keeping police officers, replacing the four who were killed in the earthquake. JINAN, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese vocational school blamed for staging cyber attacks on Google and other firms said Saturday the allegations are unfounded."Investigation in the staff found no trace the attacks originated from our school," Li Zixiang, Party chief at Lanxiang Vocational School in Shandong Province, told Xinhua.Students of Lanxiang are still in their winter vacation, Li said.He said Lanxiang has no relationship and does not cooperate with the military, adding that school authorities do not have military backing.He also dismissed the suggestion of involvement of a "specific computer science class" taught by a Ukrainian professor."There is no Ukrainian teacher in the school and we have never employed any foreign staff," Li confirmed."The report was unfounded. Please show the evidence," he said.Li's remarks came after the New York Times reported Thursday cyber attacks on Google and other American firms have been traced to Shanghai Jiaotong University and Lanxiang Vocational School, which the report alleged has ties to the Chinese military.The report, citing unidentified investigators, said there is evidence suggesting a link between the attacks and a computer science class at Lanxiang taught by a Ukrainian professor.Lanxiang, founded in 1984, has about 20,000 students learning vocational skills such as cooking, auto repair and hairdressing.The computer science class offers basic courses about Photoshop, 3D drawing and Word -- not software engineering."It was not until 2006 that our graduates began to join the army. BEIJING, March. 11 (Xinhua) -- China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 2.7 percent year on year in February 2010, the National Bureau of Statistics announced Thursday.Food prices went up 6.2 percent last month year on year, with non-food prices rising 1 percent from a year earlier.The figure was 1.2 percentage points higher compared with January.China's CPI ended nine months of decline in last November, up 0.6 percent.
