VANCOUVER, Wash. – Police in Vancouver, Washington, said Wednesday a missing teenager was killed by a man after he learned she was transgender.The family of 17-year-old Nikki Kuhnhausen reported her missing in June, telling police they hadn't heard from her since June 5.This month, investigators say, a person walking in the heavily wooded area of Larch Mountain near Vancouver found a skull, and searches by the Clark County Sheriff's Office and Clark County Search and Rescue yielded more human remains. She was with her husband and 14-year-old daughter to celebrate her graduation from middle school. What was supposed to be a day full of fun lasted only 30 minutes. According to a Universal Orlando Resort report provided by Lee, she was checked out by paramedics at 9:36 a.m. The paramedic reporting the cause of her injuries was "electric shock."Lee was at the Kopiko Wei Winding River when she first noticed something was wrong."There was another family in front of me and all of a sudden they started going over the wall to get out of the water," Lee recalled. "The discomfort of the prickles in my legs and the humming in my ears stopped, I believe, as soon as I got out of the pool."Volcano Bay reopened Thursday. Glenn Grothman, R-Wisconsin, wants to give citizens the option to donate to building a border wall on the United States-Mexico border and has introduced legislation to allow for crowdsourced fundraising. Grothman announced in a news release that he has introduced a bill called "The People’s Border Wall Fund Act" which would allow the public to contribute to building a border wall.
