A California coffee shop refused service to a customer last week after he insulted a Muslim woman and her headscarf.According to KTLA-TV, the video was shot inside of a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf store in Riverside, California on Friday. The video opens with a man standing in line for coffee."I said, 'Is this Halloween or something?" the man says."Why did you say that?" the woman filming asks."Why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't I?"The woman filming the encounter then pans over to show herself wearing a niqāb, a Muslim headscarf worn by women that covers all but a woman's eyes."What's wrong with me?" the woman asks again."I don't know, you tell me what's wrong with you," the man says.  705

A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck southeastern Mexico on Friday night, with the epicenter in the state of Oaxaca, the US Geological Survey reported.An earthquake alert was issued in Mexico City, about 348 kilometers (216 miles) away from the center of the earthquake. Buildings were evacuated there, CNN's Leyla Santiago said, and video showed people streaming out of buildings and into the streets.  413

A group of friends in Lexington, Kentucky, have started a company that makes wearing and keeping your face mask nearby easy.Face masks have become apart of our everyday lives. Jody Wedding, designer/co-founder of the MASKkap, says the idea came from another co-founder's first-hand experience."He went to Costco a couple of months ago, with his son and they wouldn't let him in because he didn't have a mask on," Wedding said. "He forgot his mask. So he got frustrated, went home and was like 'This is never going to happen again.'"That's when this hat, with the mask attached to it, was invented."The cap is a traditional baseball cap. It has a mask attached to it," Wedding explained. "So when you're not wearing it, you can kind of hang it on the back of your head."And then, when you want to wear the mask, you pull it back over the cap and on your face."We also have this MASKies version, that can snap on to any mask. It basically is a little strap, that can snap on to any mask. It's great for back to school!"The contraption was invented a little over a month ago and is already on the market. Wedding says their hope is that the MASKkap provides one less thing to worry about."When you take your mask off if you're eating or anything, you don't have to set it down. It's always with you. A brutal attack on a McDonald's drive-thru worker in Michigan has the victim speaking out against her attacker."He drove up and I opened the window halfway to take his money. He shot me with a paintball gun and drove off," the victim said. She also recalls that the customer's weapon closely resembled a real handgun. The entire terrifying ordeal still has her in shock."It wasn't like I was being nasty or anything. I just took his order and he wasn't satisfied with the answer he had got," she says. It happened at 1:30 am, at McDonald's in Dearborn, Michigan at Michigan and Gulley.The shooter is described as a black male in his 30s, heavy set with a hat, driving a late model black colored Ford Crown Victoria. The victim is expected to make a full recovery. However, she hasn't decided if she'll return to work at McDonald's.  870

A long-running dispute between scouts has now ended up in a Manhattan court.The Girl Scouts of the USA has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America after it announced that it would drop "boy" from the name of a program in 2019. The boys' group has already begun to welcome older girls.The Girl Scouts said in the complaint filed in Manhattan federal court Tuesday that the Boy Scouts do not have the right to use "scouts" or "scouting."It also alleged that the Girl Scouts brand and activities will be marginalized by the Boy Scouts rebranded program, Scouts BSA. 603
