SAN DIEGO (KGTV)- As elections are quickly approaching, a San Diego man is expressing concerns after discovering what appeared to be undelivered mail ballots and voter guides in City Heights.“I was out walking the dogs, and I found this stack of voter ballots; it was mixed in with ballot envelopes and voter guides,” said Jeremy Alaynick. “Just kept finding them the more I walked.”He sent ABC10News pictures that appeared to show a combination of approximately two dozen unvoted ballots and sample ballot/voter information pamphlets.Alaynick, a professional dog walker, said he did not report the incident immediately because he was walking dogs for a client.“I would have picked them all up and taken them to the post office, but I’m thinking about the dogs, and that just wasn’t running through my mind at that moment,” he said.He was working to report the incident Wednesday.Registrar of Voters, Michael Vu, tells ABC 10News, situations like this are uncommon, and investigations are launched as soon as his office is aware.“What we generally do is we touch base with the US Postal Service. It would have been great to receive this information at the time rather than a week later, particularly for those respective voters but also for us to be able to manage it,” he said.Vu said if voters have concerns or haven’t received their ballots by mail, options are available.“We are tracking every single one of these ballots, so when a voter says they have not received their mail ballot, we have the ability to suspend that ballot and reissue them another one,” he said. “If there are voted mail ballots that come back to our office, we compare the signature off of the envelope against the signature on file. SAN DIEGO (KGTV)- A trip to a dog park in Ocean Beach ended in a hospital visit for one San Diego couple.“I want her to go to jail, she assaulted my husband, and I’m angry about it,” said Ash O’Brien.O'Brien said she and her husband were at Dusty Rhodes Dog Park in Ocean Beach Thursday afternoon with their three-month-old puppy. They sat at a picnic table and began enjoying a meal when a woman reportedly confronted them for not wearing facial coverings and eating at the park where there is a no food policy.The confrontation ended with O’Brien’s husband being pepper-sprayed by the woman.“If we knew there was a no food policy, we wouldn’t have brought it into the park,” said O’Brien. “The lady who maced him automatically started saying stuff about us not wearing a mask when we were social distancing; there was no one near us.”O’Brien said that after exchanging words, the woman walked away from the picnic table but returned after a few minutes and did the unexpected.“She just came up without saying anything and just stuck the mace can right in front of my face,” said O’Brien.“My husband, being a good guy, walked in front of her and was like ‘hey calm down please don’t do this’ and then she grabbed him and just starting macing him, she used the entire can on him.”“We drove to the hospital, he got treated and everything,” said O’Brien.O’Brien said the pepper spray got on her arms and started to burn, while her husband was sprayed in the face.A witness captured part of the incident on camera and told ABC 10News she was shocked at what she was seeing. She recorded the woman’s license plate number.The couple filed a police report with the San Diego Police Department. The department confirmed they took a misdemeanor battery report but could not immediately provide further details.O’Brien was thankful none of the dogs at the park were injured by the pepper spray and wants the woman to be held accountable for the incident.“People don’t need to be getting assaulted for not wearing a mask in a public outdoor area,” she said. 2055

Measure E also includes promises for new housing, retail, an entertainment complex, and San Diego River park."That's what people care about," Stone told 10News in an interview the day before the election. "They want to know they're getting fair value, that something's going to happen, and that we're going to live up to the commitments we're making. And we are."Should Measure G win, the city would sell the land to the CSU system with plans for a new west campus for San Diego State University. The centerpiece to this plan is also a stadium, in this case, for the Aztecs football team. SDSU West also includes housing, retail, and a river park, along with new research and classroom space and a science center."San Diegans want their kids and their grandkids to be able to have a great education at San Diego State University. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- While face masks are required for everyone at San Diego International Airport, Southwest Airlines is taking it a step further.The airline said they are now requiring all passengers to don a face mask for the safety of crew members and other travelers.Southwest’s policy, which took effect Monday, has one exception -- children under the age of 2 will not have to wear a face covering.In a statement, Southwest said, in part: “If a customer is unable to wear a face covering or mask for any reason, Southwest regrets that will be unable to transport the individual. In those cases, Southwest hopes the customer will allow them to welcome them onboard in the future, if public health guidance, or other safety related circumstances regarding face coverings changes.”Before this, Southwest had already stepped up the cleaning and disinfecting of their planes. The airline is also booking a limited number of people on board.They’re also using HEPA air filters to circulate air through the cabin on every flight.
