BEIJING, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The Party organizations of 35 central Party and state institutions are the target of the latest round of routine disciplinary inspections to be carried out by the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, an official statement said Saturday.
"Since the coronavirus disease broke out, I felt like we human-being have been in a battle with the virus, where China acted as the vanguard," said Zhang Shuibo, a member of the CPPCC National Committee and head of the School of International Project Management at Tianjin University. "Despite some losses, we have stayed strong."
As of mid-July, China has issued 2.24 trillion yuan (about 320 billion yuan) of special local government bonds, while the expenditure reached 1.9 trillion yuan.
Xi said the outbreak of COVID-19 has once again laid bare that the humanity share a common future. The CPC and the Chinese government have always put people and their lives first. Through its all-out efforts to save lives, China has scored major strategic achievements in epidemic control.
Twelve cases were domestically transmitted, with 11 reported in Jilin Province and the other one in Hubei Province.
