NEW YORK (AP) — Singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle, a leading performer of American roots music known for his introspective and haunting style, has died at age 38.New West Records publicist Brady Brock confirmed his death, but did not immediately provide details.Earle was the son of country star Steve Earle and over the weekend his family posted a Facebook announcement of his death, telling his fans that they hope his music will continue to guide them for years to come.His family also posted lyrics from the ballad “Looking for a Place to Land,” from Earle’s 2014 album “Single Mothers.” 603

NFL offensive lineman Richie Incognito was arrested at an Arizona funeral home Monday, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.Police report that they were called to the Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary at 3:30 p.m. for a disorderly conduct call. NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Police say a 29-year-old South Florida man shot his mother following an argument over orange juice, an air conditioner remote and the use of her car. Luis Pages told police he “he lost it” during the Sunday evening argument and shot 59-year-old Miriam Gonzalez multiple times in their North Miami Beach home. He's charged with one count of second-degree murder and is being held without bond. Pages told investigators he tried to shoot himself too, but was out of bullets. He then called 911. When an officer arrived Pages told him, “take me to jail." 590
