(KGTV) - Over the weekend a horrified Fallbrook family discovered their truck destroyed and they believe football loyalties fueled the vicious attack.Just behind a swing set along Gird Road are some displays of Jesse Wilson's pride for his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs. His mailbox is adorned with the Chiefs logo and colors. "I'm a solid fan. Watched them ever since I was a kid," said Wilson.On Sunday, hours after he watched his team clobber the Oakland Raiders, someone did the same to his 2017 Dodge Ram Laramie.RELATED: Football stolen during NFL game returned to player after hunt"It's anger and confusion," said Wilson.Wilson discovered the destruction Monday morning. "Noticed my antenna was bent, and the truck looked lower than normal ... the tires were flat," said Wilson.A closer look revealed shattered windows, deep scratches, and mangled mirrors and wipers. When I opened the door, I was greeted with the fact that it looks like someone had a really good time inside with something sharp," said Wilson.Just about every surface was sliced or smashed, including the mirrors and stereo. Wilson's wife Kelly doesn't know anyone with a grudge against them, but she's certain of the motive."It's ridiculous, and it's stupid," she said.The truck's back window, covered by a Chiefs sticker, was crushed into bits. A plastic Chiefs decal on the back of the truck was carefully chiseled off. The truck is totaled."Makes me frustrated that something my husband loves so much could fuel so much hatred in someone else. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun," she said. FALLBROOK, Calif. (KGTV) — An 8-year-old child was killed Friday after being hit by a vehicle while walking with family in Fallbrook.The child was walking across the entrance to a parking lot on Heald Lane at about 6:30 p.m., when a vehicle turned into the parking lot and struck the child, according to California Highway Patrol.Paramedics arrived rushed the child to Rady Children's Hospital, however, the 8-year-old died on the way to the hospital.Two family members were with the child when the crash occurred. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 58-year-old woman, remained at the scene.Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be a factor, CHP said.The child and driver were not immediately identified. 746

ENCINITAS, California — A California woman says she was scammed at a gas station by a performance 'worthy of an Oscar.'"We pull in and my husbands about to pump in the gas," said Alice. An ordinary trip to fill up turned eventful last month at a Shell gas station in North County, California."I see a man pull up in a black SUV, brand new and shiny," said Alice. Alice says a man in his 30s got out of the GMC Yukon and approached them."He was in head-to-toe designer clothes," said Alice. In the backseat were a well-dressed woman and a little girl."He says, 'Excuse me, Sir. I'm here vacationing from Dubai with my family and my wallet was stolen,'" said Alice. The man asked for some money for gas and then took out a ring."Here, take my ring. It's worth 0. I have money and plenty of jewelry at home. I just need money for gas and food," said Alice.Alice told the man to keep the ring and then had her husband put in on a pump with their credit card."I believed their story ... I put myself in their shoes. I would be devastated, and I would want someone to help me," said Alice.Days later, she learned from her cousin in Los Angeles those strangers were scammers."I was the fourth person she knew of personally that this happened to. I was duped," Alice said.Then this past Wednesday, she was back at the gas station and filling up, when she saw something familiar. It was another new GMC Yukon.Inside was a different family. She saw them talking with a young man, before pulling out a ring."I ran over put my hand in front of the guy and said, 'You should be ashamed of yourself. This is a scam!" Alice said.She learned the family had a similar story about vacationing from Dubai. The SUV sped off."It makes me angry. It's the giving season and they take advantage of that. They're actors. They played their part perfectly. They're going to get an Oscars, and I handed them the award," said Alice.Alice believes both vehicles had out-of-state license plates. She says she contacted the sheriff's department but was told this incident would likely be defined as panhandling, which isn't a crime. 2115

(KGTV) - Surveillance video captured a man in a truck treating an Escondido neighborhood like a dumping ground.In the video, a white truck pulls up in the 800 block of North Citrus Avenue just before 1 p.m.  The driver goes to the back and casually pulls the couch onto the street, before going back to the truck to toss out a piece of carpet. He then drives off."Just makes our neighborhood look bad and ugly, and we don't want that," said Gil Gomez who lives feet from where the couch was dumped.His frustrations growing every time he watches the video, recorded from his Ring camera. That's because the truck appears to be a newer model Ford F-150."If you can afford to buy a brand new truck, you can afford to get rid of this thing properly," said Gomez.Gomez fears this type thing could attract more dumping."It might happen around the corner next time. That is the type of culture we cannot stand for," said Gomez.Gomez posted the video on the Neighbors by Ring app to track the person down and to send a message to would-be dumpers. "Not in our neighborhood.
