TWIN LAKES, Colo. -- Riley Tinkham has done something very special with his dad's prized Porsche.He inherited the 1982 model when his father, Richard, died of complications from cancer in 2016. The car had been sitting in a garage for several years, so Tinkham fixed it up.Earlier this summer he took the car and parked it in front of his house in Twin Lakes, Colorado. He adorned it with a couple of inspirational quotes, one on each side of the Porsche.He borrowed one of them from Mark Twain."Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Discover."He said the second quote is from Billy Cox, a motivational speaker."Life will only change when you become more committed to your dreams than your comfort zone.""I think that's a really poignant quote today," Tinkham said, "with how many comforts we have in life, how much technology we have. Everything is easier than it's ever been."After seeing the quotes, Tinkham's friend, Bob Dalzell, who operates a coffee shop on wheels called Percolated Peaks, suggested that he leave a magic marker out for others to add their own inspiration.So he did."Not all who wander are lost," one woman wrote."Live life, have fun, kick ass," a man wrote."The mountains are calling and I must go," wrote another woman.Tinkham told KMGH he's enjoyed seeing the next level his car has gone to."I'm being inspired," he said. "To see that shared with other people is really rewarding." Tinkham said the orange paint is removable and he plans to peel it off in the spring and start a new project with the special car. 1789

Two gun shops in Southwest Florida are offering free gun training for teachers in response to the Parkland shooting.A free class at North Fort Myers Guns is designed to educate teachers about guns so they can protect themselves and others.A new state law allows schools districts the option to arm teachers under certain conditions.  They would be required to go through 144 hours of training and an evaluation process with law enforcement.Robert Lewis, the owner of North Fort Myers Guns, said the training he is offering will give teachers a jump start on how to use a gun.Lewis said it's a two-hour class where teachers can learn the basics and then they will go to a local gun range a few days later to practice firing a gun."My trainer takes you out to his private range in North Fort Myers. You will shoot any number of weapons you want. He makes it a true learning experience," Lewis said.The training is normally , but Lewis said he's offering it for free for teachers because he believes arming teachers will help protect kids in school.Two teachers have already signed up for Tuesday's training class. Lewis said depending on how many teachers sign up, he will hold a class at least once a month.Fowler Firearms in Ft. Myers, Florida is offering a similar service.After receiving a local donation, the manager John Dezendorf is offering the first five local certified teachers who sign up a brand new firearm and free platinum memberships.The membership includes free range time and gun rentals for a year.Dezendorf said whether the teachers are required to train through the state or county, his training services will give them the extra practice they need."The number one thing is to keep children safe and the only things to keep kids safe is to have people around them that are able to protect them. Vice President Mike Pence visited Wisconsin on Tuesday to make a campaign push ahead of election day in November. The VP had a pair of appearances in the morning which focused on issues important to local republican voters like religious faith and personal security.In an interview with TMJ4 News, Pence discussed Coronavirus testing and the Black Lives Matter movement."Well look, I'm pro life. I think that all lives matter and that the lives of our African American community are precious in the sight of God," the Vice President said.? While the Black Lives Matter protests in Milwaukee and around the country have been largely peaceful and about systemic change, Vice President Pence raised concerns about the rioting and looting with some protests.?"I think that the leadership of the movement calling for defunding police - seeing the countless violence in the street. U.S. Marshals arrested a man they say paid ,000 to come from Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Florida to have sex with a 7-year-old.William Ball is a music teacher at the Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai, but is from Mississippi.The federal indictment only lists the charges and does not give details about the alleged crime, but during a bond hearing in federal court in Tampa, the prosecutor explained that Hall was using the internet and a cell phone to set up and meet a 7-year-old.The prosecutor said he paid ,000, bought a plane ticket and traveled to meet the child.When he was apprehended, the prosecutor says he had items for a child, condoms and lubricant with him.The prosecutor also said they have extensive internet conversations regarding the case, which is being handled by the Department of Homeland Security.He is being charged with soliciting a minor for sex and child pornography. 923
