(AP) - A man who police say was run over with a lawn mower while trying to kill his son with a chainsaw has had to have his leg amputated.The Bristol Herald Courier reports that a warrant for 76-year-old Douglas Ferguson couldn't be served until Tuesday because of the severity of his injuries.According to a Sullivan County Sheriff's Office release, officers called to a home June 28 found Ferguson bleeding from his leg and head. A preliminary investigation indicated he had tried to attack his son with a running chainsaw while he son mowed the yard.Detectives say the father and son had an ongoing feud.Ferguson is charged with attempted second-degree murder and violating probation. It's unclear whether he has a lawyer to comment on his behalf. 773

I enjoy it," said Richard Reyes. "This is my coffee right here."Reyes takes it in every morning before checking his tools, supplies, and his route for the day."Going to be a very good day. Hope to get lots of litter," said Reyes.On this day, he and his crew were on Federal Highway in Boynton Beach."When I walk, I do the median and crew does the sides," said Reyes, who was joined by his friends Suzie and Shawn.They have quite a few fans. So walking is very healthy for me and that’s a big reason why I do it," said Reyes. "I came out here and continue the effort in Boynton Beach."At the end of his cleanups, he weighs his garbage. BROWN COUNTY, Ind. -- More than 100 birds were removed from a Brown County, Indiana home Wednesday morning after a months-long investigation into a potential cockfighting ring. The Indiana Gaming Commission assisted in serving two search warrants. The investigation has been going on since October 2017 after detectives were given a "derby sheet" that listed the entire cockfighting season with dates, registration fees and potential payouts, a spokesperson from the Indiana Gaming Commission said. The birds were seized by the ASPCA. Three people have been taken into custody and booked into the Brown County Jail.Mark Herrin, Darina Herrin, and Randall Herrin all face felony charges of purchasing an animal for use in an animal fighting contest and promoting an animal fighting contest. Law enforcement in Kentucky is also involved in the investigation. 899
