Some of San Diego's fastest growing companies will add more than 600 new jobs over the next five years.The hiring, however, is starting now. California awarded 15 San Diego companies tax credits in exchange for investing locally and adding jobs. Overall, the jobs will pay an average salary of about ,000.The state launched what's called the California Competes tax credit in 2013 to combat lower cost states, like Texas, from recruiting companies out of California."We need people, we need equipment, we need to improve our facilities, and that's really helping us do that," said Dave Twining, chief operating officer of Planck Aerosystems, which got a 0,000 credit. The state is granting them a ,000 tax credit in exchange for expanding locally, and hiring seven workers at an average salary of ,000 a year. "It's Jack and I running the show, and that's why we desperately need some employees to help us out," Solomon said. Some buttons, horse hair, and other items believed to have belonged to Confederate General Robert E. Lee and other leaders at the time, were found in a metal box beneath the Confederate Soldiers Monument in Raleigh, North Carolina.The monument was a large white pillar with a statue of a confederate soldier on top, erected in 1894. (KGTV) -- A mother in Simi Valley found Oxycodone and Xanax among her child’s Halloween candy following a “trunk or treat” event, according to the Simi Valley Police Department.The woman told police she took her kids to the event after seeing a post about it on Facebook.“When the family returned to their residence, the parent dumped her children’s candy out on the counter so she could spray it with disinfectant spray as a COVID-19 precaution,” police said.After inspecting the candy, the woman discovered a clear bag that contained blue pills, later identified as Oxycodone, and a white cylinder containing Xanax.The department is still investigating the incident and no suspect information was available as of Sunday morning“We would like to remind parents about the importance of inspecting any candy or edibles their children receive during Halloween events,” police wrote. 908

Cheese with your children in St. Petersburg, Florida last Friday, July 27, you would have found the popular kid's place closed.Inspectors found more than 130 rodent droppings all over the kitchen inside the restaurant.Rodent activity was evident after finding dozens of droppings near racks of food, the chest freezer, pizza oven, deli table, drink station, dishwashing area, water heater, hallways, and dry storage room, the state documented.Inspectors also found rodent rub marks and six holes in the walls and ceilings including near the front counter area and toy storage room. All holes were about four to six inches in diameter which might be how the rodents were getting inside the restaurant.Among the 29 other violations recorded in two days, the state found dead roaches and accumulation of food debris/grease on pizza pans, interior of the keg cooler, on the self-serve drink station, behind the ice chute and soda nozzle areas and iced tea dispenser spigots. There was also no certified food service manager on duty. Chuck E. Cheese's restroom toilets were also not working properly, according to the state, with three toilets out of service in both the boys and girls restrooms.  1303
