BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- China's banking industry regulator said Monday that preventing systematic financial risks has become a top priority as the global financial crisis enters a more complicated phase.
The administration's appeal came after earlier media reports that primary and secondary school students in rural areas in south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region are in bad need of authoritative Chinese language dictionaries.
China made its strategy for nuclear power development in 2005, and issued long- and mid-term plans. In 2008, the total capacity of its 14 nuclear power reactors reached 9.1 million KW, accounting for 1.3 percent of the country's total capacity.
"We will actively engage in high-level visits with foreign countries, strengthen and develop traditional friendships, increase mutual political trust with relevant countries and strive to win the international community's understanding of and support for China's concept of scientific, harmonious, peaceful and cooperative development," said Jia.
