Amazon’s ad strategy with this commercial is?a little different than when Amazon Fire TV spokesperson Gary Busey?talked?to inanimate objects for 15 straight minutes. But it’s clear that the company is highlighting the Prime membership benefits — access to movies, music, Kindle books, and two-day delivery — to potential smartphone buyers.
Amazon’s streaming video service is currently available through a variety of devices, including television sets, Roku set-top boxes and game consoles such as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Amazon’s other food-related businesses include Whole Foods grocery delivery; AmazonFresh; and AmazonFresh Pickup. The company surprisingly shut down its restaurant delivery business last month. It entered the brick-and-mortar retail space in 2015, two decades after the e-commerce behemoth originally launched.
Amazon’s response: In the proxy statement, Amazon claims that?“some of these proposals contain assertions that we believe are incorrect.” The document recommends the board vote down many of the proposals but notes that, “in some cases, we already support some of the initiatives or concerns addressed in such proposals, and may already have taken actions that we believe address the underlying concerns of a proposal, but we may disagree with how the proposal seeks to prescribe the manner in which we address the issue.”
