Other high-risk groups that the county is focused on testing include:Healthcare workers, first responders, other social service employees, and people in essential jobsOlder adultsPeople with chronic medical conditionsPeople living in a residential or group setting, such as a long-term care facility or shelterPeople exposed to infected individuals in places where COVID-19 risk is highThose with an existing test appointment will still be able to receive a test.Sunday, the county reported 558 new coronavirus cases, bringing the region's total to 19,929 cases. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a homeless man a Mission Valley father says tried dragging his daughter into bushes before she was able to escape.Chris Gilbert says his 11-year-old daughter went to check the mail Saturday around 2 p.m. on the 5900 block of Caminito Deporte when the incident happened.After walking across the street to check the mail, Gilbert says his daughter felt hands on her shoulders.RELATED: San Diego Homelessness Czar to go on leave to open Mormon temple"She thought it was me, sneaking up playing a game,” Gilbert said.Then, Gilbert says, the man grabbed the 11-year-old by the neck and started dragging her toward some bushes.“She told me he put his hands on her shoulders from behind and was holding her, turned around and kicked him in the shin, got loose and ran into the house and found me upstairs.”That’s when Gilbert ran downstairs to confront the homeless man, hitting him in the shoulder as a warning.RELATED: Oceanside residents demand solution to homelessness issue“I said, ‘you need to get out of here,’ then he started hitting me.”Gilbert’s daughter describes the man as six foot, two inches tall, between the ages of 40 to 45 with thick glasses. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - On Tuesday, San Diego beach parking lots, piers, and boardwalks reopened following their closures amid the pandemic. The reopening came in time for the heat wave.10News witnessed beachgoers from Pacific Beach to South Mission Beach who took advantage of the lifted restrictions.A heat advisory was in effect until 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Coastal highs were in the 80s and 90s."It was a lot of fun since we can’t get out that much," said Ashyton Malan who visited the beach on Tuesday with his family. Mother Jennifer Malan added, "People are far apart and not a lot of masks but there was nobody encroaching on anybody’s space so it was nice."The City reports that visitors are still required to practice social distancing with anyone outside of their household and they cannot congregate or participate in active sporting activities on the beaches. 871

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Police are searching for a reported bank robbery suspect in the Mission Valley area late Friday.A bank robbery was reported at the US Bank location at Frazee Road just before 5 p.m., according to San Diego Police. At one point, SWAT officers were called in to assist.SDPD initially reported that shots were fired inside the bank based on accounts from "scared employees" but later confirmed no shots had been fired. Police are currently searching for a suspect. No injuries have been immediately reported. The building was reportedly locked down as police searched.The suspected was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, wearing a black mask or bandana, black hooded shirt, black pants, tan backpack armed with a handgun. 751
