Xi called on the two sides to continue to understand and support each other on issues involving their core interests and major concerns.

"The Korea-China free trade agreement is now about a bilateral trade but is anticipated to play a pivotal role that will affect Asia and the whole world," Han Jae-Jin, a senior research fellow at Hyundai Research Institute (HRI), said in an interview.
During the two-day visit, Xi will meet separately with Trong, Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.
"We are ready to share our development experience and opportunities with other countries and welcome them to board China's express train of development so that all of us will achieve common development," Xi told the general debate of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in late September.
