LONDON – A recording has reportedly emerged of Tom Cruise laying into the crew of “Mission: Impossible 7” over people not following COVID-19 protocols.The Sun, a British tabloid, was the first to report on the incident, releasing audio of the confrontation on Tuesday. The New York Times and Variety have since confirmed the authenticity of the clip.Cruise apparently became angry when he saw two crew members standing too close together at a computer screen, violating a rule that says people must stand six feet to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.In the profanity-laden audio, the actor can be heard saying, “We are creating thousands of jobs, you mother****ers. LONDON (AP) — Archaeologists said Monday that they have discovered a major prehistoric monument under the earth near Stonehenge that could shed new light on the origins of the mystical stone circle in southwestern England.Experts from a group of British universities say the site consists of at least 20 huge shafts, more than 10 meters, or 32 feet, in diameter and 5 meters deep, forming a circle more than 2 kilometers— over a mile — in diameter.Researchers say the shafts appear to have been dug around 4,500 years ago.Scientists believe the shafts could mark the boundary of a sacred area or precinct around a circular monument known as the Durrington Walls henge, about 3 kilometers, or 2 miles, from Stonehenge.The Guardian obtained a photo of the new discovery. 776

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The state's Franchise Tax Board announced Thursday new tax-filing relief for people affected by wildfires that broke out in San Diego County and other counties throughout the state in September.Taxpayers in areas that were declared disaster areas by Gov. Gavin Newsom are granted an extension until Jan. 15 to file California tax returns on 2019 income and make any tax payments that would have been due between Sept. 4 and Jan. 15."With more time to file and make certain payments, we hope to provide some relief to families and workers affected by these devastating wildfires," State Controller and FTB chair Betty T. Yee said in a statement.The relief applies to various upcoming tax-filing deadlines including:-- individual filers whose previous tax-filing extension was set to end Oct. 15. Any tax payments associated with the filings are not eligible for relief since they were initially due July 15-- business entities with a due date between September and Dec. 15-- quarterly tax payments due Sept. 15Wildfire victims may also claim a deduction on their 2019 income tax returns or next year's returns for a disaster loss sustained in an area proclaimed by the governor to be in a state of emergency, according to the Franchise Tax Board, which noted that those who have already filed tax returns this year can file an amended return.Taxpayers should write the name of the fire in blue or black ink at the top of their tax returns to alert the Franchise Tax Board. LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) — The 2019 "American Idol" winner Laine Hardy says he's been diagnosed with COVID-19. The 19-year-old singer from Livingston, Louisiana, made the announcement Sunday on social media, saying it's not what he expected on the first day of summer. Hardy says his symptoms are mild and he's recovering under home quarantine. Hardy sang the national anthem at the swearing in of his local sheriff last Friday.
