SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are seeking the public's help identifying two armed robbery suspects they say hit a Carmel Valley gas station last month.A man entered the Shell gas station located at 3861 Valley Centre Drive just after 11 p.m. on Oct. 25, San Diego Police (SDPD) said in a release. The man asked the station clerk to use the bathroom and when he returned, he was armed with a machete and wearing a mask.The man demanded money from the cash register and the clerk complied, SDPD said.The man then fled westbound from the gas station.Police said the clerk noticed a woman driving a gold-colored pickup truck, believed to be a Toyota Tacoma with an extended cab, toward the man as he was running away. The clerk told police he had recognized the man and woman inside the store a few days prior to the robbery.The man described as white, in his late 20s to mid-30s, about 5-foot-7, and with medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white California bear on the front, blue jeans, a dark grey or blue baseball cap with "Ford" on it, and blue Keds shoes.He was also carrying a green backpack and has a wraparound band-style tattoo on his left arm.The woman was described as white, in her 40s, with long dark hair, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.Anyone with information is asked to call SDPD's robbery unit at 619-531-2299 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 1435

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — President Donald Trump spoke Tuesday about the U.S.-Mexico border as his battle with Democratic lawmakers over border wall funding sends a government shutdown into nearly three weeks.President Trump is scheduled to meet with those working at the border in what the White House has called a "crisis" at the southern border.As Democratic lawmakers continue to flatly reject any funding for the President's border wall, Trump says he has considered declaring an "immigration emergency" in order to lock in funding.WATCH: President Trump's prime-time address hereTODAY'S BORDER BARRIERAbout 653 miles of the 2,000 miles across the U.S.-Mexico border has fencing or barrier, according to the Advocacy for Human Rights in the Americas.U.S. Customs and Border Protection has already set aside about .4 billion to fund construction of new and replacement barriers along the border, Newsy reports. However, according to CBP data, only 12 of those individuals were encountered at the southern border from October 2017 to October 2018, according to CNN.Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said earlier this month CBP has stopped over 3,000 "special interest aliens trying to come into the country on the southern border."However, there's no uniform definition of the term "special interest alien." SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person was injured late Friday after a stabbing near Fox Canyon in eastern San Diego.A 25-year-old man was with two other people in the 4900 block of Auburn Dr. just after 10 p.m. when an unknown suspect walked up to the group and got in an argument with the victim, San Diego Police said.The argument escalated, ending with the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times in the left side of his body, police said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - On Normal Street in Hillcrest Friday, things were anything but normal.   Tim Henderson and his colleagues were checking email in the street."Just a minute ago, we had a meeting out here," he says while pointing to an assortment of chairs.    He and his co-workers at KTUA, a landscape architecture and planning firm, set up a little home office in a spot usually occupied by 3 to 4 parked cars.   The space was decorated with plants and patio furniture.Welcome to “Park(ing) Day 2017,” billed as a worldwide event where artists and designers transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks.    The event ran Friday from 9AM – 3PM, with several downtown businesses also taking park."We're in a ‘car-centric’ world, we always have to supply places for cars,” Tim explained.  “We're making a statement: during some part of the year, you can come out into a space not  being used for cars -- and have a park!"Henderson and his work buddies barbecued in the parking spots and even roasted s’mores.Parking is at a premium in Hillcrest, but Henderson said nobody seemed to mind them taking up the spots.    In fact, he said drivers had been slowing down to catch a glimpse at the “front yard” they created on the street.“They love it,” he said. 1351

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating a shooting in San Diego’s Corridor area that was reported following a vehicle crash early Tuesday morning.A DoorDash driver told ABC 10News he was on his way to make a delivery when he was involved in a collision with a car on 37th Street and El Cajon Boulevard at around 4 a.m.The other car drove off, and the DoorDash driver followed it to 37th Street and Meade Avenue until the car came to a stop.According to the delivery driver, two men got out of the car and fired shots towards him. The delivery driver said he was not struck by the gunfire and was able to drive away to call 911.A short time later, at an apartment complex in the 4600 block of 35th Street, police spotted the car that matched the delivery driver’s description.A woman believed to be the car’s driver and two others were detained for questioning by officers.There is no word on if any arrests were made. 930
