As Laos this year holds the rotating chair of the Aossociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), China is willing to cooperate closely with Laos and join hands with other ASEAN nations to push the China-ASEAN relations to a new high by successfully holding events like the summit marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN dialogue relations and events celebrating the year of China-ASEAN educational exchange, the Chinese minister said.
To promote international cooperation in nuclear security, Xi put forward a five-point proposal at the summit, including the building of a network for capacity building on nuclear security and supporting all countries in minimizing the use of highly enriched uranium according to their needs.
Wang Yong, the Chinese State Councilor, made the remarks during his recent two-day visit to Gulf Arab country that ended on Monday.
Xi said that ginkgo, a symbol of long-lasting friendship in Chinese culture, signifies the friendly ties between the two countries.
