Paul Manafort's former son-in-law has reached a plea agreement with the US attorney's office in Los Angeles, which has been investigating Jeffrey Yohai's real estate deals for over a year, according to two sources familiar with the matter.Under the plea agreement Yohai will be required to cooperate with other investigators but one source told CNN it is unlikely he has much to offer to special counsel Robert Mueller.It's not clear what Yohai will be pleading to as part of the deal. He has not been publicly charged by prosecutors, though he has been under investigation.His guilty plea is all about his real estate Ponzi scheme -- he defrauded actor Dustin Hoffman, among others. Yohai will also have to cooperate with an investigation by the New York Attorney General's Office, which has an open investigation into Manafort. That probe is in the shadows of Mueller's investigation.Reuters first reported the plea deal had been reached.Yohai met with Department of Justice investigators in New York in the summer of 2017, according to two other sources familiar with the matter.Yohai provided information and documents to federal investigators in New York at the time, according to one of the sources.Yohai's lawyer did not immediately return a request for comment.The sources say the Justice Department was seeking cooperation related to the federal investigation into Manafort for possible money laundering or tax violations in his business dealings with pro-Russia political parties in Ukraine.The information was turned over to Mueller as part of his probe. (KGTV) — Border Patrol says agents arrested two people on Thursday in separate incidents of methamphetamine smuggling.The first incident occurred when agents stopped a woman driving a 2006 Honda Accord at the Interstate 8 checkpoint in Pine Valley. The woman was referred to secondary inspection, where agents say a canine team discovered 64 packages of methamphetamine hidden in the vehicle’s quarter panels and gas tank. The drugs are worth an estimated street value of 6,175.The 22-year-old U.S. citizen and the narcotics were turned over to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.Several hours later, a 19-year-old U.S. citizen driving a 2005 Ford Mustang was stopped at the same checkpoint. He was referred to a secondary inspection where a canine team also discovered 39 packages of meth inside the vehicle’s gas tank, worth an estimated street value of ,250.The man and the drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.Once again our agents have intercepted these dangerous drugs before they could reach the streets, poisoning our community. OTAY MESA, Calif. (KGTV) — A 29-year-old man was robbed near the Otay Mesa border Friday night. The victim was unlocking his vehicle when an unknown Hispanic male walked up behind him and placed a "cold, metal object" against the back of his head.The suspect demanded the keys to the vehicle in Spanish and the victim complied. PHOENIX, Arizona — A Phoenix-based American Airlines flight attendant was sentenced to five years of probation for taking videos of men and boys using public restrooms. Special Agents with ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) say that on December 30, 2017, they detained Gordon Harold Nobriga, 50, as he was trying to leave the country through El Paso, Texas. Officials searched Nobriga's cell phone and found "numerous videos of men and boys using a public restroom." Investigators say the videos appeared they were produced through a 'peephole' in a bathroom stall. When questioned about the videos, Nobriga reportedly told HSI that the videos were produced in a store, but he refused to give the store's location. Since Nobriga is from Phoenix, the phone was sent to the Homeland Security Office in Phoenix where investigators were able to determine that the videos came from a Walmart store in Phoenix. They say surveillance video from the store shows Nobriga entering the bathroom several times over a two-month period and spending hours in the bathroom each time he went in. Investigators were able to identify two victims, a man, and a 14-year-old boy, both who do not know Nobriga. Nobriga was arrested on May 25 at Sky Harbor Airport as he exited a flight. On August 16 of this year, Nobriga pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted voyeurism and was sentenced to five years of supervised probation. Nobriga said he's been a flight attendant with American Airlines for sixteen years. Nobriga allegedly admitted to taking the videos, but he denies any distribution of them. He's was initially charged with 11 counts of voyeurism. American Airlines sent this statement at the time of Nobriga’s arrest: “We take this matter very seriously and have been cooperating with law enforcement throughout their investigation. Since this case is a pending criminal matter, we must refer all questions to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Phoenix.” 2070

PASADENA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A float in the Rose Parade unexpectedly caught fire Tuesday morning. Video shows the Chinese American Heritage Foundation’s train float proceeding down its normal route when suddenly smoke begins to appear. Later in the video, the float can be seen stopping, backing up traffic along the route.
