Jake, a coonhound, wandered a long way from his Arizona home -- more than 2,000 miles to be exact."We are just really baffled by it," said Renae Metz with A Darrah Bull Bully Rescue in Pennsylvania.A good Samaritan found the 7-year-old dog near a YMCA in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania about 100 miles east of Pittsburgh. When they scanned him for a microchip, they found one, and it came back registered to Phoenix."We thought maybe a truck driver possibly found Jake in the middle of the night and didn't know what to do with him and brought him home, but we don't know that that's a fact," Metz said.After finding the microchip, they made the phone call to Jake's owners."We have a 7-year-old coonhound here who is registered to you, are you missing your dog?" Metz asked the owners.It turns out they were, for the past year. Jake disappeared from their north Peoria home. Getting Jake back wouldn't be easy with a brand new baby, but Metz wasn't about to give up on getting the dog home."We have 20 different drivers, three overnights and a lot of stops for Jake," Metz laughed.Metz's sister is a transport coordinator for rescued animals. She used the power of Facebook to put out the call for help and arranged for his return.From Tennessee to Arkansas to Oklahoma to Texas and New Mexico, over the past three days, the volunteers took photos along the way. KOHLER, Wis. – Two major golf tournaments have been postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.The PGA announced Wednesday that the Ryder Cup has been rescheduled for September 21-26, 2021 at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin. It was originally scheduled for September 22-27 of this year.The Ryder Cup is a biennial men's golf competition between teams from Europe and the U.S., which began in 1927.Likewise, the Presidents Cup, initially slated for September 30-October 3, 2021, at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, will now be played September 19-25, 2022.The decision to reschedule the Ryder Cup was based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and in conjunction with the state and local health officials.“Unlike other major sporting events that are played in existing stadiums, we had to make a decision now about building facilities to host the 2020 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits,” said PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh. “It became clear that as of today, our medical experts and the public authorities in Wisconsin could not give us certainty that conducting an event responsibly with thousands of spectators in September would be possible. Given that uncertainty, we knew rescheduling was the right call. KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Jeff Henry, one of the men charged in the death of 10-year-old Caleb Schwab at Schlitterbahn water park, did not appear with his attorney in court Thursday, Dec. 13.His attorney stated Henry is at an inpatient facility in Houston, Texas. He asked the judge to stay his bench warrant until Jan. 24, 2019 when Henry returns for his other case.The attorney said Henry, a co-owner of Schlitterbahn, will begin an intensive outpatient program while in Houston. Henry is accused of allegedly arranging for a human trafficker to bring a woman to him at a hotel room in July 2018, a day after he was in court for the Schlitterbahn case.Part of the payment to the trafficker included passes to the water park, documents say.The state told the judge they were fine with the suggestion from Henry's attorney to stay his bench warrant since they have been in touch with authorities there and they say they have had no issues with Henry.Henry has a ,000 cash and surety bond and is under house arrest.Schwab died Aug. 6, 2016 from a neck injury sustained while he was on the 17-story Verrückt water slide with two other park goers. (KGTV) - Anabel and Dewey will celebrate 21 years of marriage this year, but in the smallest fraction of that time, everything from their life was destroyed.The couple lived in their Jamul home with Anabel’s mother and their five cats. Saturday, Anabel was at work and her mother was out of town. Dewey saw there was a fire in the distance, but felt confident it would be contained quickly, like most of the fires that spark in their area. He left the home, not knowing it would be the last time he saw it standing.That night, flames engulfed their home. Video captured shows it on fire, with firefighters nearby trying to find the flames, but they were unsuccessful.
