LONDON (AP) — The U.K. military seized control of an oil tanker that dropped anchor in the English Channel after reporting it had seven stowaways on board who had become violent. Defense Secretary Ben Wallace and Home Secretary Priti Patel authorized the action in response to a police request. Initial reports confirm the crew was safe. The incident began about 10 a.m. on the Libyan-registered tanker Nave Andromeda. Authorities imposed a three-mile exclusion zone around the vessel. LOS ANGELES (KGTV) -- Video showed the horrifying moments a coyote crept up to a family and attacked a small child at California State University Los Angeles.Police say the coyote bit the 5-year-old on the leg just before 6:30 p.m., in the 5100 block of University Drive, according to the CSULA.Campus police responded to the incident and began searching the area for the animal. During their search, officers heard a female student scream and found the coyote approaching the student "in an aggressive manner," police said.Officers found the animal and at least one officer opened fire and wounded the coyote, according to the campus.The animal ran off after it was shot. At this time there are no updates on the condition of the child. Los Angeles Department of Public Safety officers are actively searching for the coyote. LOS ANGELES (KGTV) – Two children inside an RV involved in an hours-long chase and standoff with a domestic violence suspect were safely recovered Tuesday night, authorities reported. The children in the vehicle are said to be 11-months-old and 3-years-old. Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The driver of the RV was involved in another pursuit in Santa Clarita that was canceled for safety concerns Tuesday, KABC reported.The chase started on surface streets but the suspect later entered the 101 Freeway followed by the 170.The suspect drove at normal speeds between 60 and 70 miles per hour. The chase came to an end at a dead-end road in Bakersfield. The mother of the children reported the domestic violence suspect to deputies, according to KABC.
