A former teammate of Colin Kaepernick condemned the NFL's recent embrace of peaceful protest as "half-hearted," calling it "PR for the current business climate."According to former 49ers S Eric Reid, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has not personally called to apologize to Kaepernick despite the league's admission that they were "wrong" not to embrace peaceful protest sooner."What the @NFL is doing is half-hearted at best," Reid tweeted Monday. During one interview with the Bengals, he claimed team owner Mike Brown specifically asked if he would continue kneeling, and when Reid declined to answer, he was not offered a contract. No one will remove the 9-foot dead gator out of her Loxahatchee backyardThis story has all the ingredients for "Only in Florida."  A homeowner in Loxahatchee said she found a dead gator on her property on Friday, and the smell is overwhelming. Her husband first noticed it while mowing the lawn days ago, and she is still at a loss with what to do next. Stacey Rutherford can barely uncover her mouth long enough to describe the stench of a dead alligator in the canal on her property. "It’s gross. It’s gross I just want it gone," she said. "You can't make it up!"Rutherford called the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for help and she said they told her to "climb in there and poke it with a stick!"The recommendation to sink it actually stunned her."Ummmmm I told them that I would not be poking it," she said. FWC said every circumstance is different, but officers don't come to pick up decomposing carcasses. Adding that the alligator nuisance hotline will give suggestions on how to let the gas out of the gator, but ultimately, it's the homeowner's responsibility to do that. The other option...simply wait it out. Rutherford said she asked FWC if she could shoot it instead of going in the water. "If she were to shoot it, that's like poking a hole into the belly, which may help release the gases and let it sink,  but she would have to consult with law enforcement to make sure she is not breaking any laws getting into trouble," said wildlife expert David Hitzig Neighbors said the stench is unbearable. "You forget and then you get that big strong whiff," said Raymond Velloza, who lives across the street from where the gator is.  Rutherford says bottom line she can't take the smell any more. "I’m begging for somebody to help. A Fond du Lac man who holds the world record for "Most Big Macs Consumed" ate his 30,000th Big Mac on Friday.Don Gorske said he ate his first Big Mac on May 17, 1972, and has enjoyed, on average, two of the sandwiches nearly every day since.“I take that first bite, it was the best thing I had ever tasted in my life,” reads a pamphlet from Gorske that chronicles his hamburger habit.An entry titled “Summer of 1972” reads, “When I’m not at work, or going to McDonalds [sic], I’m at County Stadium, eating a Big Mac while watching the Brewers, or I’m ‘cruising Main Street’ like everybody else."Gorske’s good health can be verified by asking his wife, a nurse practitioner, he writes.“My height is 6’2”, [and] if I try hard, I can get up to 195 pounds,” he writes.There have been eight days that have not included a Big Mac for Gorske since he took that first bite of one in 1972, he wrote. The most recent was November 23, 2011, when McDonald’s was closed for Thanksgiving Day. A global research team of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, using spectroscopes, have found hydrogen sulfide in the clouds or Uranus, NASA said on Tuesday. What is special about hydrogen sulfide is it is a common chemical on Earth humans like to avoid. Hydrogen sulfide is the same gas that rotten eggs emit. Yes, Uranus smells like rotten eggs. The presence of hydrogen sulfide has long been suspected on Uranus. NASA’s Voyager 2, which passed by the planet decades ago, detected the gas. But using Earth-based satellites, NASA has been able to confirm the presence of the gas. NASA said that finding hydrogen sulfide on Uranus is a striking difference compared to the other gas planets. Jupiter and Saturn have had ammonia detected in the clouds, but not hydrogen sulfide. “We’ve strongly suspected that hydrogen sulfide gas was influencing the millimeter and radio spectrum of Uranus for some time, but we were unable to attribute the absorption needed to identify it positively. Now, that part of the puzzle is falling into place as well,” Glenn Orton of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory said. If there is one bit of good news, scientists said: It would be impossible for the hydrogen sulfide to overtake humans. "Suffocation and exposure in the negative 200 degrees Celsius [392 degrees Fahrenheit] atmosphere made of mostly hydrogen, helium and methane would take its toll long before the smell," said lead author Patrick Irwin of the University of Oxford, U.K.    1582
