SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A small brush fire in University City led to train delays between Sorrento Valley and Old Town Thursday, according to the North County Transit District. The first-alarm vegetation fire broke about just before 2 p.m. in a riverbed off Porte De Merano north of SR-52, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue. The brush burned into heavy fuel, officials said, before being stamped out.“Please expect delays on COASTER service,” NCTD posted on Twitter. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — An arrest has been made in the death of a teenager found dead in a Rancho Bernardo street last March.San Diego Police say Angel Ramirez, 19, of Escondido, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of a 16-year-old male on March 7, 2019.The teenage victim was found just before midnight lying in the middle of the street in the 16800 block of Cresta Dr. Police said despite life-saving efforts, the teen died at the scene. Based on the evidence collected, it appeared the teen had died as a result of a traffic accident.RELATED: Man found dead in middle of Rancho Bernardo streetThe Medical Examiner's officer, however, ruled the teen's death as a homicide and not caused by a traffic incident. Police didn't elaborate on the cause of death.Investigators say their case led to the identification of Ramirez, who was arrested and charged with first degree murder. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - An Encinitas family on vacation woke up to a disturbing alert last week, video of someone stealing multiple packages from their porch.Homeowner Mark Sandorf says the most peculiar thing was who the thief was."It’s different in that she looks like she’s probably someone’s grandma," said Sandorf.The family immediately filed a police report from New Mexico.10News blurred the woman's face because the San Diego Sheriff's Department has not yet said she's a wanted suspect.One of the packages had sentimental value, three custom holsters for Sandorf's son who is in law enforcement."My son is, like I said, risking his life out there every day and we try to keep him in good equipment and what not.
