BERLIN, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang said here Thursday that China and Germany should join hands in expanding economic cooperation to achieve mutual benefits.Speaking at a dinner with German and Chinese business representatives, Li said that China has the capability and condition to maintain steady and relatively fast economic growth in the long run.But he added China is still a developing country and that it needs to make long-term and strenuous efforts to achieve its modernization goals and enable all the Chinese people to enjoy the benefits of economic and social development.On China-Germany relations, Li said that the two countries, through close cooperation and coordination, have achieved an early and robust recovery from the global financial crisis.Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang delivers a speech during an evening dinner with Chinese and German business people in Berlin, Germany, Jan. 6, 2011. BEIJING, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Thirteen of 17 Vietnamese crew members were saved by a Chinese rescue team after strong winds sank the Vietnamese ship, the Hung Cuong 168, near Minjiang estuary in the East China Sea on Friday evening, the Chinese rescue center said.According to the China Maritime Search and Rescue Center (CMSRC), the Vietnamese ship, which was overloaded with 5,200 tonnes of stone materials, had an engine breakdown this afternoon and overturned at around 5:00 p.m. due to high winds, with 17 crew members falling into the sea.Being alerted about the accident, China's East China Sea Rescue Bureau and the local maritime search and rescue center in the coastal Fujian Province sent professional salvage vessels and helicopters to the scene where they rescued 13 sailors, as of 6:18 p.m.The rescue team is still searching for the remaining four sailors, according to the CMSRC.

BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- China's industrial value-added output year-on-year growth quickened to 13.3 percent in November from 13.1 percent in October, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Saturday.The growth rate for the first 11 months was 15.8 percent year on year, down 0.3 percentage points from the January-to-October period, the NBS said.Industrial value-added output measures the final results of industrial production, which is the value of gross industrial output minus intermediate inputs such as raw materials and labor.

BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese credit rating firm Dagong Global Credit Rating assessed the sovereign credit rating of Ireland at BBB in its third sovereign or regional credit rating report released Monday.Dagong's credit rating of Ireland is lower than that given by Moody's, Standard and Poor's and Fitch."Dagong made its assessment based on factors such as Ireland's increasing debt level, the administrative capability of its government, economic and financial strength," Dagong Global said.Dagong Global's announcement follows the proposed 85-billion-euro bailout of debt-hit Ireland by the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.Dagong's report also rated four other nations - Finland, Uruguay, Kenya and Sudan.In terms of domestic currency-denominated debt, Finland received the firm's top AAA rating, but with a negative outlook.Uruguay was rated BB-plus while Kenya received a B rating.Sudan was rated C, the nation's first sovereign credit rating.Dagong Global uses a three-level assessment system, with each level containing three sub-levels. For example, AAA, AA and A.The rating agency published sovereign credit ratings in two earlier reports. One on July 11 rated 50 countries.
