(KGTV) — As a caravan of migrants from Honduras marches through Mexico, participants have said they are determined to press on to Tijuana.The caravan has also drawn daily discussions among U.S. leaders as to how to deal with the incoming group, who have said they plan to apply for asylum.It's not clear how close the caravan will be when Election Day rolls around on Nov. 6, but the group's journey is expected to play a large part in the elections.RELATED: As many as 15,000 troops to be deployed to borderThe caravan has said they fled Honduras because of the state of employment, quality of life, and the threat of crime they are faced with in the country — similar to a caravan which came to the U.S.-Mexico border in Tijuana in April.Here is a look at the caravan and actions by U.S. leaders since the group's journey began in October:Oct. 13 — Migrant caravan forms in the Honduran city of San Pedro Sula and begins to head north.Oct. 15 — The caravan arrives at the Guatemala-Honduran border, facing a blockade by local police for nearly two hours. Sixty-four spellers will not be moving onto the final preliminary competition. It could potentially bring in anywhere between .5 to .5 billion in new funding to local schools and governments, according to the Legislative Analyst’s Office.Brandon Foster is a small business owner in Oceanside. Even though he rents the space where his two gift shops are located, he is against Prop. 15.“We already have been told by our landlords, if that passes, they will be passing on that cost to us,” Foster said. “The landlords, a lot of them, have vacancies and things like that where they are struggling themselves. I understand why they need to pass that cost onto us.”The ad for No on Prop. 15 highlights a small business owner who said he had to close twice during the pandemic. The ad said Proposition 15 would raise “property taxes and rents on small business and they admit homeowners are next.”The change in property tax assessment would apply only to commercial or industrial properties valued at more than million. It would tax those properties at current market value rather than when it was bought.Residential and agricultural properties are not affected under Prop. 15.“They are very emotional, as ads are supposed to be,” said Lynn Reaser, chief economist at Pt. (KGTV) — A man taken into custody last week after he was involved in a San Marcos crash and authorities discovered a dead body in his pickup truck has been arrested for murder and turned over to Anaheim Police.Anaheim Police say Abdulaziz Munther Alubidy, 30, was booked into Anaheim Detention Facility and is being held without bail.The San Sheriff's Department says Alubidy was involved in a crash just after 4 p.m. late Friday at San Marcos Boulevard and Rancho Santa Fe in San Marcos. When deputies responded and looked inside his Toyota Tundra pickup truck, they discovered the body of 56-year-old Jessie Villesca of Anaheim.RELATED: One person is dead after car crash in San MarcosDeputies said Villesca's injuries indicated she was murdered. Alubidy was detained at the scene.Anaheim Police were contacted after deputies say they found evidence indicating Villesca had been killed near W. Corporate Way and N.
