(KGTV) - Divers searched the San Vicente Reservoir Saturday for a missing 12-year-old girl, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and San Diego Police said.The girl fell off a ski-type boat and into the water Saturday afternoon while with her family, officials said.The search started at 6 p.m. Saturday with seven divers from San Diego Fire-Rescue. The team later found the girl’s damaged life jacket in the water.By Saturday evening, the search was designated a recovery mission instead of a rescue. Divers stopped the search as night fell.The reservoir is 306 feet deep when full. It is a popular recreation spot for boating and fishing. No swimming is permitted unless it is related to water activities including water-skiing and wake boarding.The San Vicente Reservoir will be closed Sunday, according to officials. LAKELAND, Fla. -- A family argument on Mother's Day turned violent and ended in the arrest of a mother and a son in Lakeland, Florida. Seth Bryant, 27, was arrested for felony battery (domestic violence) on his father, 58-year-old Clayton Bryant, after deputies say Seth and Clayton got into a physical argument over alcohol. The father and son were arguing after Seth demanded he be allowed to have more alcohol, according to the arrest affidavits. Seth reportedly put his fist against his father's face and pushed him with it, deputies say. After deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office arrived on scene, Seth reportedly made numerous derogatory racial comments toward the deputy who is black. As Seth was being arrested, Judy Bryant, 54, shoved her husband against a counter and said "How's this for domestic violence?" She then refused commands by the deputies and resisted the deputy's efforts to arrest her. So, he works to make sure the voices of this tiny community aren’t lost in the massive landscape of southern Utah.“I think our voting system is designed to favor people who live in metropolitan areas, and on their way home, just walk a block or two to a polling place to cast their ballot there," he explained of America’s current methods of voting.Van Wetter works with the Rural Utah Project, which helps ensure those living off the beaten path have the same options as the rest of America.On a typical election day in Boulder, the only polling location in Garfield County is hours away."You have to drive two-and-a-half hours to the west to county seat, where you can vote in a courthouse," explained Van Wetter.The seclusion of life in this part of America makes voting by mail the preferred option.In fact, all of Utah has voted by mail since 2018.
