El Cajon (KGTV)- An El Cajon Family is on the edge after a man tried to break into their home through their toddler’s bedroom. The family lives off Chase Avenue. Liz Jasiak says she noticed a handprint on her son’s bedroom window on Christmas Eve. When she went outside, there was a latex glove sitting behind the trash bins, near the window, in their backyard. “You have this little person who is depending on you to take care of them and their safety,” says Jasiak. “So it's definitely a sense of violation.”Surveillance video shows the man walking up to the home and lingering on the front porch moments after she leaves to take her son to daycare. The video then shows the man leaving but returns and disappears on the other side of the home. “It’s kind of creepy to think that someone was watching my habits or my moves because the moment we left he immediately enters our yard, says Jasiak.”The family says multiple screens to the windows of their home were cut around the same time the suspect tried to break in. The family has reported the crime to the El Cajon Police Department. They say they will be adding extra security to their home. 1156

Dunkin' Donuts is chowing down on the gluten-free craze.The company introduced its first-ever gluten-free bakery product: a fudge brownie. It's available in all of Dunkin's 8,500 US stores beginning Monday.Dunkin' said in a statement it recognizes "the importance of providing alternative choices for people with dietary restrictions or who choose a gluten-free diet."Gluten-free food has soared in popularity, projected to rake in billion in sales by 2020, a 20% increase from 2015, according to food industry research company Packaged Facts. During a quarterly call with shareholders Wednesday, Papa John's CEO John Schnatter cited national anthem protests in the NFL as one of the reasons for the company's falling stock price.According to ESPN, Schnatter also took veiled shots at NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for not putting a stop to the anthem protests."Leadership starts at the top and this is an example of poor leadership," Schnatter said. ESPN also reports that Schnatter felt the issue should have been "nipped in the bud" when the protests first began. Papa John's stock price has fallen 5 percent since August. (KGTV) - A grieving dog owner says a routine surgery turned deadly after his dog suffered burns during a brief stay.In early May, John San Filippo brought 11-year-old Sofia, a Boxer mix, to the Bastet Veterinary Hospital for knee surgery."Dropped her off in the morning and picked up her up in the afternoon. She was doing great," said San Filippo.Six days after the surgery, San Filippo found several oozing sores on her right side. The vet told him the electric blanket used to warm Sofia had somehow burned her. "I was stunned, but at that point, it was just three little spots," said San Filippo.Within weeks, the full extent of the burns emerged: 3rd- and 4th-degree burns on over 40% of her body. Sofia developed sepsis and pneumonia, before she died in early June."Just broke down crying ... brought her in for knee surgery and my dog was barbecued," said San Filippo. San Filippo has filed a complaint with the State Veterinary Medical Board and wants the business shut down.Bastet Veterinary Hospital released the following statement: "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sofia, which was a result of thermal burns derived from the malfunction of our patient warming system. We are committed to working with all involved parties to help recoup financial losses, and our hearts grieve along with Sofia'a family for their loss."Experts suggest asking your veterinarian about how they warm animals during anesthesia. Due to a recent rise in reported health issues, the US Food and Drug Administration warned on Tuesday against using or purchasing Rhino male enhancement products.Since 2007, the FDA said, it has identified more than 25 Rhino products, some with names such as Platinum Rhino 25000 and Krazzy Rhino 25000, that have hidden drug ingredients.The FDA said the products are often sold in single-serving packages at locations such as gas stations and convenience stores, or through online retailers such as eBay and Amazon. Recently, the products have also been found in international mail shipments, the agency said.In an email, eBay spokesman Ryan Moore said, "Product safety is important to eBay and we work hard to ensure our marketplace is free of harmful products. These types of items are prohibited under our policies, and therefore not allowed to be listed on the eBay market place." EBay regularly sweeps the site to remove such items, he said.Amazon has not responded to a request for comment."Over the past few years, the FDA has been combatting the retail sale of male enhancement drug products that are frequently misrepresented as dietary supplements and that contain hidden and potentially harmful active drug ingredients," said Donald D. Ashley, director of the Office of Compliance at the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.According to the FDA, the "products contain undeclared ingredients that are the same as or structurally similar to active ingredients found in FDA-approved prescription drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction."For example, some Rhino products contain the same active ingredient as Viagra and Cialis, sildenafil and/or tadalafil, respectively. These undeclared ingredients can lead to "significant safety issues and the risk of serious adverse events," the FDA said."The FDA has received reports of people experiencing chest pain, severe headaches and prolonged erections after taking a Rhino product that led to surgical intervention and hospitalization due to extreme drops in blood pressure," according to the agency.People who experience negative health effects or have issues with the quality or safety of a dietary supplement can report it to the FDA's MedWatch Safety Information program. Products identified by the FDA as having hidden active drug ingredients can be found in the tainted products database.Not all misrepresented products are included in the database, and consumers should still be wary, the FDA noted."Consumers should be cautious about using certain products, especially those promoted for sexual enhancement, weight loss, bodybuilding and/or pain relief. Consumers should also be on the alert for products that offer immediate or quick results and that sound too good to be true," the agency said. 2778
