A Texas police officer shot his adult son Saturday, thinking he was an intruder.Dispatchers received a call around 6 p.m. CDT from a man reporting a shooting at his home. The man said he was an off-duty Dallas officer who mistook his son for an intruder and accidentally shot him, according to a release from the DeSoto Police Department. A New Jersey man was charged on three criminal counts Tuesday after being accused of coughing on a grocery store clerk and claiming he has coronavirus, the New Jersey Attorney General announced. George Falcone was charged on three counts: Terroristic threats, obstructing administration of law enfocement, and harassment. The most serious charge, terroristic threats, carries a punishment of up to five years, and a ,000 fine. The New Jersey Attorney General said that the incident happened Sunday evening at the Wegmans in Manalapan, New Jersey. The employee was reportedly concerned that Falcone was standing too close to her and an open display of prepared foods, so she requested that he step back as she covered the food. Instead, Falcone allegedly stepped forward to within 3 feet of her, leaned toward her, and purposely coughed, the attorney general's office said. He allegedly laughed and said he was infected with the coronavirus.“These are extremely difficult times in which all of us are called upon to be considerate of each other— not to engage in intimidation and spread fear, as alleged in this case,” said Attorney General Grewal. “We must do everything we can to deter this type of conduct and any similar conduct that harms others during this emergency. A plane made an emergency landing right on the shoreline in Ocean City Tuesday afternoon, with vacationers watching just feet away.Officials with the Maryland State Police say no one was injured in the crash.The sole occupant, 23-year-old Trevor H. Deihl took off from Reedville, Virginia on a local fishspotting operation and planned to land at the Ocean City Municipal Airport.Deihl told police he was about a mile from shore when he began to have engine trouble and ultimately glided the plane into the ocean.According to the Ocean City Police Department, an officer observed a small private plane make an emergency water landing at the beach and 21st Street at approximately 6:19 p.m.Personnel from the Ocean City Beach Patrol and the Ocean City Police Department immediately responded to the scene. According to a preliminary investigation, witnesses say the plane appeared to glide toward the water as it descended and then float on the surface of the ocean when it landed. The plane then floated in toward the beach. Graysen Levy of Baltimore was there when the landing happened and captured the video."We were just in the water five minutes prior, got out to dry, turned around to see a plane skimming the water into an emergency landing," Levy said. "The kid got out safely and the plane fully submerged into the water afterwards."
